Nostatic Software releasing The Quiet Collection on the North American Wii U eShop next week

Nostatic Software announced today that The Quiet Collection is coming to the North American Wii U eShop next week. Pricing is set at $4.99.
The Quiet Collection is comprised of four old-school adventure games. Players will gain access to “Quiet, Please!”, “Quiet Christmas”, “Vacation Vexation” and “Candy, Please!”. Each one gameplay that allows for exploration, interaction with the environment, and puzzle-solving.

Quiet, Please!
After an annoying day at school, you just want some peace and quiet. But everything at home is so noisy! Dad is channel surfing, Mom is on the phone and your pesky kid brother won’t go to bed!Quiet Christmas

Canvaleon out on the Wii U eShop next week

OXiAB Game Studio shared a final release date for Canvaleon today. In both North America and Europe, it’s due out on July 23 via the eShop.
A special launch offer is planned for Canvaleon’s first two weeks of availability. Pricing is as follows:
– In Europe the original price of 13’95€ will be reduced to 11’95€ during the first two weeks. (EUR)
– In United States the original price of $13’95 will be reduced to $11’95 during the first two weeks. (USD)
– In United Kingdom the original price of £12’59 will be reduced to £10’80 during the first two weeks. (GBP)

STARWHAL gets exclusive “Blastopus” mode on Wii U, details and video

Breakfall has unveiled a new mode exclusive to the Wii U version of STARWHAL: Just The Tip titled “Blastopus”. Details about this (and other game elements) are posted below, along with a video of the mode.
– Guide your clumsy narwhal to use its tusk to stab the pulsating heart of your foes
– Can add a fifth player on Wii U via the GamePad
– This person takes the role of the Blastopus
– Blastopus drops bombs that the narwhals want to avoid, or if they’re feeling fancy they can bat the bombs away to hit their fellow fish
– Blastopus is an exclusive Wii U mode
– GamePad, Wii Remote, and Pro Controller are all supported in any kind of combination for multiplayer
– Customize your narwhal in a variety of ways
– There are costumes, including a Mario-inspired one, Mega Man-inspired one, and female assassin
– Control your character with an analog stick/D-pad and a button
– Classic (last one standing), Score Attack, Zones, and Heart Throb (king of the hill) multiplayer modes
– Game has single-player challenges as well
– In these, you need to control the narwhals with precision
– Obstacle and Target challenges
– Obstacle: navigate with courses while avoiding walls and sometimes even lava
– Target: hit a variety of targets in each stage as quickly as possible
– Both are focused time trials where you try to do everything as quickly as possible
– Development almost finished
– Due out by summer’s end
Mutant Mudds Super Challenge out in September, Dementium 3DS games in October

Renegade Kid has confirmed release months for two of its upcoming games. Mutant Mudds Super Challenge is slated for early September, and Dementium: The Ward and Dementium 2 for 3DS are targeted for October.
Rengade Kid also recently announced that Xeodrifter for Wii U is coming to the eShop on July 30.
Catlateral Damage dev “seriously considering” bringing the game to Wii U

Catlateral Damage may have a shot of landing on Wii U. Chris Chung, the game’s creator, said on Twitter that he’s “seriously considering” making it happen.

Catlateral Damage is described as “a first-person destructive cat simulator where you play as a cat on a rampage, knocking as much stuff onto the ground as possible.” Sounds pretty fun, doesn’t it?!

Dark Flame could come to Wii U if there’s enough demand

Dark Flame, a 2D action-RPG as part of the Metroidvania genre, could end up on Wii U. Creator Warren Smith wrote on Twitter today that an eShop version could be realized if there’s enough demand from gamers.
Smith’s tweet reads:

Nostatic Software working on Kung Fu FIGHT! for Wii U

Nostatic Software is planning some of its first games for Wii U. “Kung Fu FIGHT!”, a game that previous hit a number of platforms, should be coming to the eShop soon.
Here’s an overview of the included features:
Fight the bad guys, save the girl – you know the drill! Relentless old-school action as you run, jump and fight your way through your quest of rescue and revenge.
– Non-stop action!
– Retro-styled, old school gameplay.
– Battle through varied environments against unique enemies.
– Multiple difficulty modes add challenge and replayability.

Kung Fu FIGHT! is one of two projects Nostatic Software is planning for Wii U. We’ll be hearing about the other title in the near future.

Year Walk coming to Wii U, trailer & release date

Simogo’s acclaimed horror game Year Walk will come to Wii U this fall, the developer announced today. The Wii U version of the game will have some unique features, like motion controls and making use of the Game Pad’s speakers in a unique way. Check out the trailer below:
Rakoo & Friends receives first details, will be shown at Gamescom 2015

Moving Player first confirmed plans to bring Rakoo’s Adventure to Wii U last October. Today, the company shared concrete details about this new console version.
Rakoo’s Adventure has been renamed to “Rakoo & Friends” on Wii U. Moving Player says that the eShop release “bloomed into a multiplayer console version full of fun and surprises”.
Here’s an overview of the game’s features:
– Join Rakoo in his adventures with this Full HD Wii U release
– An original racing and adventure game filled with humor and amazing cartoon graphics
– Up to 5 players in an exclusive multiplayer mode!
– Over 60 levels to complete with this endearing hero you will guide with your Wii U GamePad
– A multitude of enemies with various characteristics and epic bosses
– Fun bonuses ranging from «Hot Spicy» that boosts the speed to «Destructive Mount», an epic mount!
– Collect rewards and unique Miiverse stamps.
– Customize your heroes with fun objects!
Rakoo’s Adventure will be shown at Gamescom 2015 next month. It’s being tested for release by Nintendo, so it should be launching sooner rather than later.

Xeodrifter heading to Wii U on July 30

Xeodrifter is coming to Wii U on July 30, Renegade Kid has announced. Studio co-founder Jools Watsham made the announcement during Nintendo World Rapport.
If you’ve previously purchased Xeodrifter on 3DS, the Wii U version will be free of charge. Cross-buy is also supported for new buyers of the game.
