Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 0 comments
With just a few hours remaining, the Children of Morta managed to reach another stretch goal. Donations topped $100,000 meaning the game will head to Nintendo’s console in the future.
Check out an over for Children of Morta below. A video is attached above. For the Kickstarter, head on over to this page.
Children of Morta is a story-driven hack ‘n slash game incorporating the elements of the roguelike genre, where you will go on an adventure with the guardian family of Bergsons.
The family have lived on the outskirts of Mount Morta, guarding it for many generations. As a tragic event in Morta corrupts the roots of life deep in the mountain, all the creatures turn into furious, possessed monsters. Now the land’s only hope is for the Bergsons to find the seeds of life and use them to cleanse the corruption.
The game has a unique art style blending the old-school 2D pixel art aesthetics with a few modern lighting and rendering techniques, bringing to life a world of fantasy and mystery. The game music is based around orchestral renaissance tunes with many variations to please your ears while taking this journey with the Bergsons.

Affordable Space Adventures devs looking into possible 3DS version
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS eShop, News | 0 comments
Affordable Space Adventures was announced as a Wii U exclusive last year. That being said, it sounds like a 3DS version isn’t completely out of the question.
In a Reddit AMA conducted today with the game’s developers, it was revealed that the team has “been looking into” a potential 3DS version. Note that the Wii U version is still being prioritized.
Anchel Labena, who is handling PR for Affordable Space Adventures, stated:
Actually, we’ve been looking into it and we’re in talks to see what we can do. There’s nothing we can announce yet, but we’re obviously prioritizing releasing a great Wii U game first
Labena also touched on Affordable Space Adventures’ multiplayer:
Multiplayer takes tasks that would otherwise be handled by a single player and shares them with the rest of the players.
Think of it as flying a ship solo or coordinating with a crew.
So whereas in single player one person will control all the aspects of the ship from the Gamepad, in multiplayer one will be the Navigator, piloting the ship around with a Wii remote or Pro Controller, another can be the Engineer, changing the different systems via the Gamepad touchscreen, and a third is the Science Officer, scanning alien artifacts and focusing the ship’s flashlight.
But of course, it could also just be two players and these tasks get arranged differently.
KnapNok designer Lau Korsgaard noted in the same Reddit AMA that it’s possible to play one, two or three player co-op. “The experience of the three modes are quite different actually,” he said.

Big John Games open to Wii U support, talks game sales
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS eShop, News, Wii U eShop | 1 Comment
Big John Games has yet to make a game for Wii U. That doesn’t mean this won’t change in the future, however.
In an interview with Super Phillip Central, Big John Games’ Ken Patterson hinted that the company may eventually create a title for Wii U. He said:
We keep looking at Wii U projects. Right now it seems like our resources are better spent making 3DS games. That will change once the right game concept comes along.
Patterson also discussed sales of Big John Games’ eShop releases in the same interview. Coaster Creator 3D and the Big Bass Arcade games appear to have performed the best.
We sold a lot of Thorium Wars on the DSi, our sequel on the 3DS has not done as well. Our Big Bass Arcade games have done well on all of the Nintendo platforms. Coaster Creator 3D has sold well on the 3DS here in North America, Europe and has sold really well in Japan. We are very honored to have some of our games selling in Japan.
