Game Boy tribute “Tasukete Tako-San” planned for Wii U

Earlier this year, the Game Boy celebrated its 25th anniversary. Indie French developer Christophe Galati is celebrating the occasion with a brand new tribute title.
Tasukete Tako-San: Save me Mr Tako is a action-platformer with automatic side-scrolling and semi-procedurally generated 2D environments. There are people to save, enemies/bosses to fight, and powers to use such as the ability to spit ink and paralyze foes.
A demo can be found on the game’s IndieDB page. Tasukete Tako-San: Save me Mr Tako will eventually be released on the Wii U eShop sometime after its completion.

Stolen Couch Games hasn’t given up on the idea of bringing Castaway Paradise to Wii U. The developer will “still consider” its game for Nintendo’s console, though the mobile release is the focus for now. Stolen Couch’s Arthur Koopmans told us that “there is no reason why we shouldn’t bring the game to Wii U.”
Castaway Paradise’s launch is just on the horizon, as it will hit iOS platforms tomorrow. We’ll let you if Stolen Couch Games shares any specific plans in the future about bringing the game to Wii U.
