This is data from 28/09/2015-25/10/2015 (4 weeks)

Famitsu published a new report based on sales gathered from October. We don’t have the top 30 software charts just yet – that will be a few weeks – though we do have a few other pieces of data.

First up, here’s a look at the best-selling software for the month:

[PSV] Tokyo Xanadu: 115.973
[PS3] Winning Eleven 2016: 92.756
[WIU] Super Mario Maker: 92.663

[3DS] Yokai Watch Busters: White Dog Squad/Red Cat Team: 80.486
[PS4] Winning Eleven 2016: 66.000 (estimate)
[3DS] The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes: 59.000 (estimate)
[3DS] Picross 3D 2: 55.000 (estimate)

And the best-selling hardware:

Last but not least, here’s a look at sales for the biggest publishers:

Nintendo released official videos for Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney and Star Luster on the Japanese Wii U Virtual Console. Watch them below.

Bandai Namco has revealed some additional details for their upcoming Wii U game Taiko Drum Master: Atsumete Tomodachi Daisakusen.

First of all, the game supports some amiibo:

  • Animal Crossing amiibo (though likely limited to just Isabelle): unlocks the Animal Crossing medley song and some elements in the Kisekae Shoot mode (a mode where you take pictures)
  • Pac-Man: unlocks the EAT’EM UP! song and some elements in the Kisekae Shoot mode

Also, check out two new commercials for the game after the break:

Mixi sent out its usual weekly update for Monster Strike 3DS today. Check out the latest screenshots from the game below.

The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes moved 54,400 copies in its first week in Japan, according to Media Create. The sales tracker didn’t provide a sell-through rate, but Dengeki – who also keeps track of data – did come through on that front.

It looks like Tri Force Heroes managed to sell through 55 percent of its initial shipment. One important point to bring up, however, is that Dengeki has the game closer to having sold 60,000 copies.

Going back to Media Create for a moment, it’s mentioned that multiplayer content has been given the spotlight when marketed with TV commercials and such. For this reason and the fact that it differs from the series’ traditional single-player emphasis, it can be concluded that the strong spin-off flavor resulted in these sales numbers.
