Nintendo of Europe has announced via a press release that a demo for Kirby Battle Royale will be available on the 3DS eShop today. The demo will let you try out three of the game’s ten battle modes. Plus, if you transfer your save file to the full version of the game, you can unlock Meta Knight as a playable character right from the start – normally you would need to complete the game’s story mode to unlock him.

So far this announcement only pertains to Europe – we don’t know yet if the demo will be available on the North American eShop as well today. We will have confirmation in a couple of hours though. Kirby Battle Royale launches on November 3rd in Europe and on January 19th in North America.

The official Japanese Twitter has given us a quick snippet of a couple of Kirby’s powers in Kirby: Battle Royale. The video down below shows off a little of parasol and ninja in action.

The official Japanese Kirby Twitter has uploaded an animation of Kirby: Battle Royale. It shows off the Kirby printer creating a couple of Kirby copies. Looks as though Kirby will be fighting to become the number one Kirby in the story mode. Check out the animation below.

We’ve started to see more 3DS games from Nintendo these days that are playable in 2D only. Kirby Battle Royale continues that trend. It wasn’t mentioned in the Nintendo Direct, but the boxart shows that stereoscopic 3D isn’t included.

Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions is another upcoming 3DS title in 2D only. That game launches on October 6. As for Kirby Battle Royale, it’s due out in November 3 in Europe and January 19 in North America.

Another North American teaser site is now live and it is for Kirby Battle Royale. The site also has the Copy Ability poll where you can vote for your favorite Copy Ability that Kirby uses. You can head on over here to check out the site and vote in the poll.

Here’s what we know:

– Battle Arena Mode: battle until the last Kirby standing wins
– Express Mode: horde treasure until the fastest treasure wins
– Different abilities
– Single-player story mode
– Online battles
– Out January 19, 2018 in North America, November 3 in Europe
