Super Chariot

Update (4/11): Microids has confirmed that the demo will be available in North America on April 18.

Original (4/10): Super Chariot won’t be ready until May 10. But if you’d like to see what it has to offer ahead of time, you can download the new demo from the European Switch eShop.

Any Switch owner can download the demo so long as they have a European Nintendo Account. However, it should eventually be added to the North American eShop as well.

The Super Chariot demo takes up 466MB of space.

Last month, Microids and Paul Cuisset properly announced Flashback 25th Anniversary for Switch. The classic action-adventure game is coming to Nintendo’s console in June.

Flashback 25th Anniversary won’t be a simple re-release. The new Switch version features post-FX graphic filters, completely remastered sound and music, a brand new “Rewind” function which is variable according to the level of difficulty, and tutorials.

We have several screenshots from Flashback 25th Anniversary below, including a few comparisons.

Way back in 1989, Toki (otherwise known as Juju Densetsu) was released in arcades. Today, Microids has announced a collaboration with Philippe Dessoly and Pierre Adane to remake the game for Switch.

On Switch, Toki will feature completely reworked graphics. It’s not immediately clear if other changes or additions will be present.

The Toki remake arrives on Switch later this year. We have the full announcement below.

Following up on this week’s retailer leak, Microids and Pendulo Studios have officially announced Yesterday Origins for Switch. The game will be available starting on May 31. A physical and digital release are planned.

In Yesterday Origins, players will partake in “an investigation full of twists and turns, solve complex puzzles and successively take on the roles of John Yesterday and Pauline Petit to discover the secret of immortality that many have sought before them.”

We have further details and a Switch trailer for Yesterday Origins below.

Earlier in the year, Yesterday Origins was rated by the USK. It was a sign that Microids intends to bring the title to Nintendo’s console.

Amazon France is now listing Yesterday Origins for Switch as well. Assuming the retailer hasn’t pulled the information out of thin air, we can safely say this is happening. We also have the boxart attached above.

And here are some screenshots as well:

Super Chariot

Super Chariot was previously given a May release window by publisher Microids. According to a listing on the eShop, we now have a final date of May 10 in both North America and Europe.

The pre-load option for Super Chariot is live alongside the new listing. If you plan on downloading the game, 469MB of free space is required.

Super Chariot will also be receiving a physical release, though only in Europe and Australia.

A couple of days ago, we came across a listing for Flashback 25th Anniversary on Amazon Germany. It was the first time we had heard about the Switch release since Microids’ announcement last year.

Microids has now officially confirmed that Flashback 25th Anniversary is heading to Switch in June. A collector’s edition will be sold in Europe and Australia (folks in the US can import from Amazon Germany here), which certainly makes the €39.99 price tag from Amazon Germany more justifiable. Included inside is a physical copy of Flashback 25th Anniversary, a retro cartridge style metal case, an exclusive numbered metal card, a 24-page retro-style instruction booklet, and the digital soundtrack (remastered version).

Nearly a year ago, Microids announced a slew of games for Switch. Some of these games have come out, but a few are still in development.

One upcoming title that should be released soon is Flashback 25th Anniversary. A listing for the game has now appeared on Amazon Germany, featuring a boxart and screenshots (this also confirms a physical version by the way).

Microids and Frima shared new information about the Switch title Super Chariot today. The news is highlighted by a launch month: May 2018.

Super Chariot will be sold physically, though only in Europe and Australia. It’ll include the game, the Royal Gadget Pack DLC, and the original downloadable soundtrack.

Yesterday Origins

This week, a Switch rating for Yesterday Origins appeared on the German classification board USK. This should mean that the game will be appearing on the console in the future. Anuman Interactive (Microids) is listed as the publisher, as was the case with the original release.

Yesterday Origins is a point-and-click adventure game from Pendulo Studios, a company that has been working with this genre for over twenty years. It’s a follow-up to 2012’s Yesterday in which John Yesterday and his partner Pauline – two immortals – are sent across the globe through multiple periods.

We have more information about Yesterday Origins below, along with a trailer.
