Niantic has announced a new Luminous Legends X event for Pokemon GO. Xerneas will be appearing for the first time, and some Dragon- and Fairy-type Pokemon from Kalos will be showing up as well. That’s on top of the Rainy Lure Module item to evolve Sliggoo into Goodra.

As a way of celebrating the upcoming launch of New Pokemon Snap, a special event will be held in Pokemon GO. Players will have an opportunity to more frequently encounter Pokemon from the Lental region in the wild and in raids. That’s on top of a new avatar item, sticker, and the debut of Shiny Smeargle.

Last week, Nintendo and Niantic announced a brand new app centered around Pikmin. First details have since emerged thanks to a beta being held in Singapore.

Nintendo decided to drop some fairly big news on a random Monday evening this past week. It was announced that in collaboration with Pokemon GO developer Niantic, a new app is in development featuring Pikmin. Not much is known at present, but Nintendo said that the project will offer “gameplay activities designed to encourage walking and make the activity more enjoyable.” It’s also confirmed for a 2021 release.

Based on Nintendo’s announcement, it sounds like Pikmin could be just the start of future projects with Niantic. The press release mentioned “apps” (meaning more than one) and “Nintendo’s beloved characters”. You can catch up on the full announcement here if you missed it.

Pokemon GO

Niantic has outlined the various events planned for Pokemon GO throughout April. Players can look forward to Spring into Spring, Rivals’ Week, Sustainability Week, and Friendship Day. That’s on top of other regulars like Community Day.

Snivy will be featured as the next Pokemon for Pokemon GO Community Day in April, Niantic has announced. The event will be held on April 11.

Nintendo and Niantic – the developer of Pokemon GO – have just announced the establishment of a new partnership. The two companies are collaborating “to jointly develop apps that combine Niantic’s real-world AR technology with Nintendo’s beloved characters,” according to today’s press release.

First up on the docket is a new app based on Pikmin, “with gameplay activities designed to encourage walking and make the activity more enjoyable.” It is being made by Niantic Tokyo Studio.
