“Play, Doujin!” is a distribution platform for fangames that was launched three years ago as a collaboration between Sony and Touhou Project creator Zun. Now, the service is extending its support to include Switch games as well. As such, you can expect to see more indie games from Japan coming to the system, especially Touhou games since that was the initial focus of the “Play, Doujin!” project.

The first such game coming to the Switch will be the 3D shoot‘em up fighter Touhou Kobuto V, which was developed by Cubetype and is being published by NIS America. As you can see by NIS America’s involvement, the “Play, Doujin!” project on Switch won’t be limited to just Japan, but plans to bring some of its games to the West as well.

NIS America issued a new trailer for Culdcept Revolt. You can watch it below.

Along with the trailer, NIS America passed along some news about a free DLC opportunity. Fans who sign up on the official website in North America, Europe, and Australia will be provided with the following DLC packs:

Challenge from Hell DLC – A challenging bonus scenario and special map that can be used in single and multi-player game modes!

Soltis Book Cover DLC – Show off your book locally and online with a glorious book cover based on the god of Soltaria!

The offer only lasts until 9:59 AM PDT on October 3, 2017. Codes will be e-mailed on launch day at 10:00 AM PDT.

A new wave of DLC has joined RPG Maker Fes. Users will find new content based on Disgaea, Phantom Brave, and Prinny.

Here’s the full rundown:

– Disgaea Pack – Contains chibi sprites and graphic images of Laharl, Etna, and Flonne as they appeared in Disgaea D2.
– Disgaea 5 & Asagi Pack – Contains chibi sprites and graphic images of Killia, Seraphina, and Usalia, as well as the perennial cameo character, Asagi.
– Phantom Brave & Prinny Pack – Contains chibi sprites and graphic images of Ash and Marona from Phantom Brave, as well as the ever-popular Prinny.
– Prinny Pack – Contains chibisprites and graphic images of Prinny Kurtis, Big Sis Prinny, and the Hero Prinny

All of this DLC is available in both North America and Europe.

Nippon Ichi has reported its latest financial results. In the company’s report, it’s confirmed that Disgaea 5 Complete has sold over 100,000 copies worldwide.

This number was to be expected given what we previously knew about the game’s performance. While it started slowly in Japan, Disgaea 5 Complete had been off to a strong start in the west. NIS America president Takuro Yamashita said a few months ago that pre-orders were at 110,000 copies in the west. 78,000 units had been reserved in the US, along with 36,000 copies in Europe.
