Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition made it to the west a few weeks ago. Digital Foundry took a closer look at the game from a technical perspective, and compared it to the Wii U original and New 3DS version in a video published today.

As far as resolution is concerned, Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition is 1080p when docked. For the Wii U and New 3DS versions, 30 frames per second was the target. The new Switch version attempts to hit 60 FPS, but there are unfortunately many significant dips. Digital Foundry adds that 60 FPS is rarely met, though it’s still the better experience.

Koei Tecmo has revealed that a Warriors Orochi 4 stream will take place on June 9th at 9 PM JST. The stream will show off gameplay for the fist time, as well as debut a new trailer and a new character. Once it’s live, you will be able to watch the stream on Youtube.

Also, Koei Tecmo announced two limited editions for the game. The “Premium Box” contains a copy of the game, a 64-page “official materials” book containing artwork etc, the game’s soundtrack on two CDs with over 70 songs and eight clear files featuring some of the game’s characters.

The “Treasure Box” contains all of the above, the Omega Force 20th anniversary concert CD with a runtime of over 70 minutes, a daily calendar featuring all of the game’s characters as well as the game’s scripted signed by the voice actors. Note that while Warriors Orochi 4 has been confirmed for a Western release, these limited editions have so far only been announced for Japan.
