Best Buy will be holding a great sale on Wii U and 3DS games next Sunday. Almost all titles published by Nintendo will be eligible for a new buy 1, get 1 40% off offer. Pokemon Sun, Pokemon Moon, and Super Mario Maker for 3DS appear to be the only exceptions.

Best Buy’s sale kicks off on December 11. It will last through December 17.

Since The Game Awards started, numerous platform holders have offered discounts that tie into the show. Nintendo was never a part of the promtion in the past, but that’s apparently changing this year.

The Game Awards creator and host Geoff Keighley mentioned in a live stream on Periscope today that the eShop will be seeing its own discounts “for the first time” – just like the PlayStation Network, Xbox Games Store, Steam, and Origin. We’ll find out which games are eligible in a few days, but the Nintendo-related winners and/or nominees will likely be included.

The Game Awards will be held this Thursday at 9 PM ET / 6 PM PT. That’s Friday at 2 AM in the UK / 3 AM in Europe.

Update: Amazon has started discounting some upcoming/new games. This includes Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Paper Mario: Color Splash for $50.99 each. Disney Magical World 2 is now $33.99.

Five games from Circle Entertainment are now just $1 on the 3DS eShop. Fairune, KAMI, The Legend of Dark Witch, Tappingo, and Witch & Hero can be downloaded for that small price. The discounts are valid until December 1.

The Nintendo UK store discounted a bunch of figures on its online store for Black Friday. Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Kirby, Star Fox, Mega Man, and Monster Hunter products are up to 40 percent off. Head on over here for the full lineup.

Earlier this week, Nintendo announced that some Cyber Deals would be going live on the European Wii U and 3DS eShops as part of its “Cyber Deals” promotion.
