The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes

Another short Zelda: Tri Force Heroes video – called “Totem Time” – is up on Nintendo UK’s 3DS YouTube account. You can watch it below.

Nintendo began distributing codes for a Zelda: Tri Force Heroes demo in Japan earlier today. You can only play the core levels at specific times and days, but you can mess around in the lobby a tiny bit. You can see that in the video below.

It seems like Nintendo is planning something similar to Splatoon’s Global Testfire for The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes. A few hours ago, some people who have a Japanese Nintendo Network ID received an e-mail from Nintendo containing three download codes for a special Tri Force Heroes demo. Those lucky enough to be selected can share those codes with two of their friends and play online together a specific times. The demo will be online at the following times:

  • 10/10 23:00 – 24:00
  • 10/11 10:00 – 11:00
  • 10/17 23:00 – 24:00
  • 10/18 10:00 – 11:00

We will keep you updated on further development, including a possible demo for European and North American audiences.

The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes contains a few multiplayer options. There’s Download Play which only requires a single copy of the game, local multiplayer with both players owning the title, and online.

We do have to point out one important detail regarding Internet play. Unfortunately, it seems that you can only play with people in the same region. If you’re in the United States and your friend is in Europe for example, it doesn’t sound like you’ll be able to pair up.

The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes wasn’t only created by Nintendo. Interestingly, it appears that Grezzo also played a role in the game’s development.

Grezzo has been quite involved with the Zelda series over the years. The team worked on Ocarina Time 3D, Majora’s Mask 3D, and Four Swords Anniversary Edition.
