Game Informer reached out to Nintendo for clarification on Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE’s western release. The company confirmed that Atlus is handling localization, and said that changes made to the game are “due to varying requirements and regulations in the many different territories Nintendo distributes its products.”
Here’s the full statement:
“Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE was localized by Atlus in a way that is consistent with the localization work they do on games they publish. It was a priority to ensure the game feels familiar and appeals to longtime Atlus fans. This month, Avex Group (in conjunction with SHOWROOM and Decoo), will be holding a public audition for a voice acting position in a new role-playing game. Japanese blog Hachima Kikou speculates that the news could hint at a follow-up of some kind to Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE. It’s noteworthy as Avex produced the music in that very Wii U game.
There is no guarantee, but Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE will have a strong presence at the event. In fact, participants will be asked to perform a song from the Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Vocal Collection. A couple of the judges were also involved with the title. Avex does have significant recognition in the music industry, though the company hasn’t worked on too many video game projects – the most prominent one being Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE.
