WWE 2K18 Switch update available

WWE 2K18 has received what appear to be the game’s first post-release update. We’re hearing reports that an update is going out now.
As far as the specifics of the patch, 2K hasn’t shared any details just yet. Some players have reported that WWE 2K18’s loading screens may have been decreased, and performance could have been improved. If we see any official patch notes, we’ll let you know.

WWE 2K18 Switch dev promises patches

WWE 2K18 has landed on Switch, but it will continue to receive attention. Blind Squirrel, who worked on the game for Nintendo’s console, says that updates are on the way.
The studio tweeted a short while ago:
Thanks for all the feedback on #WWE2K18 folks! We are continuing to work on updates so stay tuned to the official @WWEgames account as all official updates on patches etc. will come from there.

WWE 2K18 isn’t in the best shape on Switch at the moment. Players have reported all sorts of technical issues, such as a slow frame rate in handheld mode. Hopefully all of the kinks will be worked out in the weeks ahead.

WWE 2K18 launches December 6 for Switch

WWE 2K18 is just a couple of days away from hitting Switch. 2K has announced that the game is slated for December 6.
By pre-ordering the physical version of WWE 2K18, fans can receive two playable versions of WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle: his WWE “American Hero” persona (2001) and his ECW “Wrestling Machine” persona (2006). Digital copies will come with the Kurt Angle pack at no extra cost through December 13.

NBA 2K18 update #6 coming soon, patch notes

Another patch is on the way for NBA 2K18. Players on Switch will soon be able to update to version 1.06.
The latest patch will once again improve various aspects of the game. Visual Concepts has addressed various issues and made improvements in a number of areas.

The newest update for NBA 2K18 has arrived on Switch. We had originally found out about the patch a few weeks ago, though it’s now finally available for download.
This update once again makes a ton of improvements and changes across the board. We have the full patch notes below.

NBA 2K18 discounted for the first time on the Switch eShop

NBA 2K18 received its first discount on the Switch eShop today. In both North America and Europe, a 20 – 40 percent discount is in place.
Today’s sale also impacts all versions of the game. That means you can get the standard version, Legend Edition, or Legend Edition Gold at a discount.

Take-Two “very pleased” with NBA 2K18’s sales on Switch, “supportive of the platform corporately”

Yesterday, Take-Two Interactive reported its financial results. The company also held an earnings call with investors and others who are tied to the company.
Early on in the call, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick commented on the performance on NBA 2K18. In terms of Switch specifically, Zelnick said: “we’re very pleased with the title’s performance on this new platform”.

NBA 2K18 Switch commercial airs during NBA season openers

The Switch version of NBA 2K18 was in the spotlight yesterday as the 2017 – 2018 NBA season kicked off. During the game between the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers as well as the Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors, a Switch-specific commercial aired.
The ad itself isn’t anything too special. It takes a few seconds from the launch trailer mashed together with some Switch footage. Still, it’s noteworthy that the Switch version of NBA 2K18 is being advertised in this fashion.
