River City Girls 2 Marian

WayForward is starting to highlight some of the characters in River City Girls 2, and a new trailer has come in that puts the spotlight on Marian.

Marian is among the playable characters included in the game. She has “hard-hitting grapples, brutal boxing techniques, and abs of steel”. Marian actually stems from the Double Dragon series and will now be teaming up with Misako and Kyoko.

Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp has still yet to ship despite Nintendo originally intending to have the game ready late last year.

The game was announced at E3 2021, and was on track for a December release. But last October, Nintendo pushed it back to Spring 2022. We then had an April date this past February, but it was then delayed in March indefinitely due to the invasion of Ukraine.

River City Girls 2 Special Edition

Limited Run Games has provided details about its physical release plans for River City Girls 2.

A standard release will be available alongside the Classic Edition and Ultimate Edition. With the Classic Edition, fans will receive a retro-style box, two-disc soundtrack, and double-sided poster featuring a world map. The Ultimate Edition contains everything in the Classic Edition plus a sticker pack, talking Beeboo plush, digital download code, and more.

River City Girls 2 villains

Arc System Works and WayForward have readied a new trailer for River City Girls 2 that provides a look at the game’s villains. These include Sabuko (the “disgraced daughter”), Ken (the “rich boy yakuza”), and Sabu (the “criminal patriarch).

Here’s some information about the game:

River City Girls 1 & 2

Original (8/17): Retailer listings have outed River City Girls 1 & 2 for release on Switch in Japan. It will be available on December 1, 2022.

What you’re getting here is pretty straightforward as River City Girls 1 and 2 will be available together in a single package. The first game has been on Switch for some time, but the sequel has yet to release.

River City Girls 2 delayed

WayForward has provided an update on River City Girls 2, announcing that the game will now be available in North America “sometime after its originally expected late summer 2022”. Specifics beyond that were not announced. However, some new cover art was shared on social media, which we have above.

River City Girls 2 was first revealed in June 2021. WayForward had hoped that the game would be ready for this summer, but that didn’t happen in the end.

This week’s issue of Weekly Famitsu magazine has revealed an updated release date for River City Girls 2 in Japan. The title will now be releasing on December 1, 2022 in the region.

It should be noted that the last update we received for River City Girls 2 was in December 2021, with a trailer providing a Summer 2022 release window for the game. Considering this new Japanese release date, it’s likely that this Summer 2022 release window has slid in other regions as well, in which case we should hear a confirmation for the game’s new worldwide release date soon.
