According to Eurogamer’s Tom Phillips, the Nintendo Switch will have a Virtual Console for GameCube games. Phillips notes multiple sources, and that he is working on detailing its first games, which should be up later today. As always with rumors, take it with a grain of salt. Hopefully it is true, though.

Miitomo has updated with a new Miitomo Drop stage, “‘Tis the season! Happy Holidays #3”.

Game Freak is currently investigating a minor glitch involving the Rocky Helmet item for Battle Spot battles. Rocky Helmet is a held item that makes an attacking Pokemon take a small amount of damage if they hit the holder. Normally with items or abilities like this, the Pokemon that made the attack will be counted as the winner if both faint and neither player has more Pokemon. However, if this happens with a Pokemon holding the Rocky Helmet, the holder will be declared the winner.

Cup Critters, from RCMADIAX, just hit the 3DS eShop in Europe. You can check out footage of the turning gameplay below, courtesy of Nintendaan:

The lastest round of Monster Hunter Generations’ free DLC is now available to download. The December update features Street Figther outfits for Felynes, a new armor set designed by Tetsuya Nomura, and more. You can view a gallery of some of the rewards below, and a full list of the quests and rewards after the break.

Both Europe and Japan have gotten new My Nintendo rewards. For Europe, the rewards are as follows:

    – 30% off Affordable Space Adventures (Wii U) – 400 Platinum Coins
    – 30% off Metroid Prime Trilogy (Wii U) – 40 Gold Coins
    – 30% off Pullblox (3DS) – 150 Platinum Coins
    – 30% off Fallblox (3DS) – 180 Platinum Coins
    – 25% off SteamWorld Heist (3DS) – 30 Gold Coins

Japan has gotten a new 3DS theme for the Legend of Zelda’s 30th anniversary (300 Platinum Coins), as well as 3 videos of The Legend of Zelda Orchestra recording various songs. The My Nintendo page update has featured a few changes. For starters, you can set a User ID, which is a unique name that will allow for easier logins to My Nintendo. Since these are unique, we recommend setting one up, just in case you don’t want your name taken. To get one, go to your Account Settings and choose edit, then go to the User ID option on the left side. Also, unlike Nintendo Network IDs, you can actually change your My Nintendo User ID at any time.

Second, child accounts are now available. These will allow children (between 13 and 17 years old) to use Nintendo Account services. Note: To activate these, you will need to make a small transaction ($0.50 in the US) to verify consent.

Xavier Orion Games has been working on bringing Booty Diver to the Wii U, and they now say that testing has been completed and they will be submitting the final version to Nintendo. If it passes lot check, the game should release soon on the Wii U.

The My Nintendo website has been given a new look. The changes are mostly aesthetic, featuring your Mii performing various activities (such as playing the 3DS or fishing) instead of merely pacing around. It also highlights more than just the My Nintendo rewards, such as having easy links to Pokemon and Miitomo’s websites. Unfortunately, the change does seem to have removed the Platinum coins that could be picked up each week by visiting the site.
