To celebrate today’s release, Nintendo has issued a launch trailer for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment. This game is canon to Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, specifically covering the Imprisoning War.

Dave the Diver Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, which was previously teased, has now been released.
During the summer, it was announced that a free update for the game was in the works for Nintendo’s new console. What we didn’t know is that it would be released in the form of a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. On the new system, you’ll be able to experience a higher resolution and improved frame rate.

A new update has now been released for Pokemon Legends: Z-A with 1.0.2. This is the first patch issued since the day one update at launch.
We previously heard about plans for the game. Aside from fixing bugs, Game Freak has made some adjustments to Ranked Battles.

Wildkeepers Rising coming to Nintendo Switch [update: release date]

October 15: Lioncode Games is bringing its new game Wildkeepers Rising to Nintendo Switch, the studio has announced. We don’t have a release date, but it’s coming soon.
Wildkeepers Rising is a survivor-like roguelite action game. The project has been in PC Early Access for quite some time, but during that time, tons of improvements have been implemented. Nintendo Switch will be receiving this version as part of the version 1.0 launch.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment has started to launch in certain regions, and a version 1.0.1 update has gone live. If you’ve pre-loaded the game, you should see the patch.
For the most part, bug fixes are included here. Aside from that though, a new shortcut feature has been added.

February 27: Terminator 2D: No Fate is in development for Nintendo Switch, publisher Reef Entertainment and developer Bitmap Bureau. The game launches on September 5, 2025.
Based on Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Terminator 2D: No Fate is an action side-scroller. You’ll play as Sarah Connor and the T-800 as you look to end Skynet’s plans before the human race is annihilated.

Miyamoto says Nintendo doesn’t want to become a company that simply grows in numbers

According to Shigeru Miyamoto, Nintendo isn’t simply interested in growing in numbers.
Miyamoto was speaking about the company’s approach to movies and other videos. In order to enter that space, Nintendo began “considering what we could do together with people creating videos around the world.” Rather than simply growing so that it does everything internally, the company decided to partner with others – such as Illumination on The Super Mario Bros. Movie and the upcoming film based on Super Mario Galaxy.

Could a game other than Mario Kart take the crown as the best-selling game on a Nintendo platform? Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of Mario and The Legend of Zelda, has weighed in.
On Nintendo Switch, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is by far the best seller at almost 70 million – Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the next closest at nearly 50 million. It now looks like we could see something similar with Mario Kart World as it has sold over 9.5 million copies with Nintendo Switch 2 itself at an install base of just over 10 million.

Nintendo says it will still ship games for Switch 1, talks about balance with game releases

Although Nintendo is prioritizing games for Switch 2 and making games for that platforms, it will continue to support Switch 1.
We already heard that Nintendo Switch hardware will continue to be produced. As for actual games though, Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa has confirmed that the system will continue to receive games.
Furukawa said the following during the Q&A session of a financial results briefing today:
