[Let’s Talk] Pokemon Legends: Z-A hopes and dreams
Posted on 8 months ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Let's Talk, Switch | 0 comments
Pokemon Legends is now officially a series of its own with this week’s announcement of Pokemon Legends: Z-A. There won’t be a big new Pokemon game this year, but we know that this new one will be arriving in 2025.
Pokemon Legends: Arceus, which launched at the very beginning of 2022, was a new take on the RPG formula we’ve grown accustomed to over the past few decades. There was more of an action element and it was even possible to catch different creatures simply by throwing a Poke Ball as soon as you saw it, which didn’t require you to enter the battle screen. A number of different features and changes were introduced, which seemed to be well received overall.

Good Smile is readying a new Kirby Car Mouth figure as part of its Pop Up Parade line, and we now a the release window and pre-orders are open.
The figure is based on one of the transformations included in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. What we have here is a non-scale pre-painted figure made out of plastic. The main highlight is that it actually moves forward after being pulled back, so it’s a little more than just a collectible.

Former Nintendo staffer shares insight into Reggie’s famous 3DS line from first Nintendo Direct
Posted on 8 months ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, General Nintendo, News | 0 comments
Former Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime generated plenty of memes during his time with the company, including a line from the very first US Nintendo Direct. For those who hadn’t already owned a 3DS or weren’t thinking about picking one up, he had a simple question to those consumers: “What’s wrong with you?” You can check out that clip here.
Former Nintendo staffer Krysta Yang shared some insight into that moment during an episode of the Kit & Krysta podcast. It wasn’t just a throwaway line as the team working on the Nintendo Direct had some discussions about it. However, they felt that the envelope needed to be pushed a bit and wouldn’t be out of character for Reggie to say, so it was ultimately approved.
