Floppy Knights getting a physical release on Switch

Floppy Knights has thus far only been sold on the Switch eShop, but that’s soon changing as Limited Run Games has announced that a physical release is in the cards.
There are only plans for a standard version – no special editions. However, fans will also be able to pick up a vinyl soundtrack.

Aero Fighters is this week’s Arcade Archives game on Switch

Continuing Hamster’s streak of Arcade Archives games on Switch will be Aero Fighters. The game is due out worldwide on December 14, 2023.
Also known as Sonic Wings in Japan, Aero Fighters is a vertical shooter originally released in 1992. Video System handled its development.

The next update for Trombone Champ is here on Switch with version 1.25A.
Aside from improvements and bug fixes, there are a couple of specific things to highlight this time around. Two more tracks have been added for the holiday season, and players can now access an achievements panel that appears on the homescreen.

Splatoon 3 Tournament Manager announced

July 26: Nintendo has revealed the Splatoon 3 Tournament Manager, a brand new feature in the works for the Switch shooter.
According to the official announcement, it will “help support the creation of private tournaments using the Private Battle feature”. Nintendo intends for it to link Splatoon 3 to the SplatNet 3 service “to help players create and manage tournaments on demand.”

Fire Emblem Heroes announces Holiday Lessons summoning event

To celebrate the holidays, Fire Emblem Heroes is getting a new Holiday Lessons summoning event.
Special Heroes who are racking their brains over a winter-festival assignment will be featured. The lineup includes Yunaka: Spirited Envoy, Edelgard: Snowfall Future, Dimitri: Blessed Protector, and Byleth: Frosty Professors.

Nintendo just issued the first update for the Switch version of Super Mario RPG via version 1.0.1.
A number of bug fixes are included here. Most are for game progression, but an issue was also fixed when using Thought Peek on Straw Head and Reacher.

A massive update came out today for the Switch version of Hogwarts Legacy. This is build version 1181827.
Warner Bros. says the update “addresses overall gameplay visual experience and stability improvements.” A ton has been improved and fixed, including audio, characters, areas, and performance.

Bethesda has made new add-ons available for a couple of its classic Switch releases, with Doom (1993) and Doom II receiving SIGIL II while Quake players can access QDOOM.
SIGIL II is a free episode containing nine levels. John Romero, one of the co-founders of id Software, led the way on its development.
