Sakuna Chronicles Kokorowa and the Gears of Creation

Marvelous and Edelweiss just unveiled Sakuna Chronicles: Kokorowa and the Gears of Creation, a new game tying in with Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin. As of now there’s no word on a release window or supported platforms. That said, given the success of Sakuna on Switch, we should be expecting Nintendo support here.

Not much has been said of the project as of now. According to Marvelous, it “is an all-new spin-off story focused on the brilliant Princess Kokorowa, Sakuna’s close friend, who is a high-ranking goddess presiding over wheels and inventions from her heavenly home.” Further details will follow later.

The Starbites

Ikinagames is developing The Starbites for Nintendo Switch, the company has confirmed. The game launches sometime in 2025.

The Starbites is a turn-based RPG with a sci-fi, futuristic setting. Mechs are a big part of the experience – they can be used to traverse the world and be used in battle.

Here’s a bunch of additional information about the project:

Prison Princess: Trapped Allure

October 30: Qureate is bringing Prison Princess: Trapped Allure to Nintendo Switch, the company revealed today. A release is scheduled for November 21, 2024.

Following up on the original title, Prison Princess: Trapped Allure is a mystery-solving adventure game. Players will be tasked with rescuing party members.

Tons of details can be found in the following overview:

If there’s one thing fans know about Nintendo, it’s that the company focuses on gameplay over story. This even applies to The Legend of Zelda, which does have more of a plot compared to some of the company’s other major series like Super Mario.

On the topic of Zelda, series producer Eiji Aonuma has weighed in on how Nintendo approaches the story for the franchise’s games. The plot only comes about after the game design has been settled upon. That’s something we recently heard about with Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, where the gameplay was nailed down first and the story was more of a late addition.

Riolu Pokemon Build-A-Bear

Another addition to the Pokemon Build-A-Bear line was just made available with Riolu.

The plushie can be purchased online now – we assume that it will make its way to stores in the near future. For now though, only an online bundle is being offered, which is Riolu itself, a hoodie, and a 5-in-1 sound chip.
