Atari Recharged Collection 3 and 4

Limited Run Games announced this week that it will release physical versions of Atari Recharged Collection 3 and 4 on Switch.

Yars: Recharged and and Caverns of Mars: Recharged are in the third collection. The fourth collection contains Missile Command: Recharged and Gravitar: Recharged. Limited Run Games previously made packages for other entries in the Recharged series that you can read about here.

Tevi gameplay

Fans can check out a new round of gameplay for Tevi, which came to Switch this week. 26 minutes of footage highlights the Metroidvania title.

Just a few days after Xbox’s CFO suggested that Microsoft would be up for putting Game Pass on devices like Switch, head of gaming Phil Spencer has said that there are “no plans” to make that happen.

In an interview with Windows Central, Spencer highlighted the importance of innovating for owners of Xbox hardware and making them “feel great about their investment in what we’ve built.” While Microsoft continues to grow Game Pass, having it on competing platforms won’t be happening.

Rough Justice: '84

Publisher Daedalic Entertainment and developer Gamma Minus are putting Rough Justice: ’84 on Switch this month, both sides have revealed. It’s slated for December 20, 2023.

Rough Justice: ’84 is a board game-inspired strategy game but the whole thing is single-player. Learn more about it in the following overview:

Disney Dreamlight Valley Early Access end A Rift in Time Expansion Pass

Original (10/27): Gameloft has made a few announcements for Disney Dreamlight Valley, including the news that the game is leaving Early Access in December and an Expansion Pass dubbed A Rift in Time is on the way.

The Early Access period ends on December 5, 2023. Those who have been playing already will keep their access to the game, their Moonstones, and their save data.

However, Disney Dreamlight Valley will remain a paid game for the foreseeable future.” Speaking about the decision, Gameloft said:

Wapeach

Fumihide Aoki, who was the designer behind Waluigi, today shared concept art and other images of Wapeach, a character who was originally intended to be in Mario Tennis. The shots were posted on social media.

What might be most interesting of all is that the sketches above were actually made during Mario Power Tennis. Wapeach has ties to the original Mario Tennis, but Aoki said she only had a name when the N64 title was being developed and nothing further. He added that he’s unsure why the design was ultimately scrapped.

Fights in Tight Spaces physical

Today, Super Rare Games announced a partnership with Ground Shatter and Mode 7 for a physical release of Fights in Tight Spaces on Switch.

3,000 copies will be produced in total. Each unit contains the game on a physical cartridge, a full-color manual, an exclusive sticker, and trading card pack.
