Bandai Namco shared a first play video for the Japanese 3DS game Assassination Classroom: Assassin Training Plan. Watch it below.

Nintendo is teaming up with the San Francisco Public Library to teach kids the basics of video game level design with Super Mario Maker. An event will be hosted later this month at The Mix, a creative space at the Main Library. Kids and teens will be able to create, learn, engage and share using all sorts of different tools. This comes as a nationwide push for more computer science education and digital learning for children.

Here’s an overview of the event:

“During the Super Mario Maker event, kids and their parents will have the opportunity to attend special workshops hosted by Nintendo game experts that will introduce them to video game level design using the Super Mario Maker game. Kids will be split into groups and given hands-on time with the game and shown the ins and outs of game level design. The kids will be encouraged to work together to design their own courses in the game – the more creative, the better! The courses will then be available to play by anyone that owns Super Mario Maker and has Internet access by entering special course codes in the game. Course codes will be shared after the event concludes.”

The Super Mario Maker event at the San Francisco Public Library will be held on March 30. Activities will take place between 3 PM and 7 PM.

The latest issue of Famitsu has an interview about the new Pokemon Center in Kyoto. Interestingly, this same discussion contained a brief mention that there are plans for more of these stores in Japan, and the hope is to expand to other countries as well. It’s not yet known which territories are being considered, however.

Only two Pokemon Centers have opened outside of Japan. One location popped up in New York, but became Nintendo World in 2005. There was also a pop-up store in Paris for the launch of Pokemon X/Y in Summer 2014.

You can find photos of the new Pokemon Center in Kyoto on Kotaku here.

Harvest Moon: A New Beginning has shipped over 320,000 copies in Japan, Marvelous announced today. That number is as of February 23. Note that Marvelous did not specify if digital sales are included in today’s figure.

Here’s an interesting little tidbit about Miitomo. Tomodachi Life QR codes work with the app, meaning you can easily bring over your character. The Mii’s name, voice, appearance, and personality transfer. Your catchphrase also becomes your greeting. You can use the QR code so long as you’ve sen “allow copying” on.
