Team Barbarian managed to beat out Team Ninja in Splatoon’s European Slatfest that took place this weekend. The final score was 377 to 323.

The ninja side took home an overwhelming edge in popularity, with 77 percent going with that side. However, because barbarians had more wins (59 percent), they were propelled to victory.

Update: Added in Sunday’s updates.

Nintendo Badge Arcade has been receiving daily updates since heading. Because it’s continually updated with content, we’re rounding up all of the additions and changes in a weekly post.

Here’s what’s on tap for the week of January 25:

– 5 Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D panels
– 16 Super Mario Bros. panels
– 4 Tomodachi Life food panels
– 5 Splatoon panels (1 day left)
– Theme offer until 1/28

Update (1/31): Bumped to the top. Pre-orders for the guide are now $7.18 off (thanks Jake).

Original (1/25): Much like The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD, Hyrule Warriors Legends will be receiving a guide from Prima. Amazon has a listing up for a special collector’s edition version.

Here’s what fans can expect from the guide:

New Content: Including characters and tools.

Master Combat: Expert battle tactics provide the precise button presses and timing required to defeat your foes and capture territory for Zelda’s forces.

Comprehensive Bestiary: Exploit each creature’s weaknesses—including the Bosses–by using items and fighting techniques.

Find Every Item: Use everything in your arsenal to accomplish special tasks!

Free Mobile-Friendly eGuide: Includes a code to access the eGuide, a web-access version of the complete guide optimized for a second-screen experience.

Prima’s Hyrule Warriors Legends guide is due out alongside the game on March 25. The company’s limited edition guides are only printed once, so when they sell out, they’re gone for good.

The Pokemon 3DS Virtual Console games are now up for pre-load on the Japanese 3DS eShop. Red, Green, and Blue are all 80 blocks each while Yellow is just a tad bigger at 84 blocks.

Here are some screenshots:

Fans can get their hands on the classic Pokemon releases on February 27. If we hear anything about pre-loading in the west, we’ll be sure to let you know.

A few hours ago, a trailer for Chandelure in Pokken Tournament debuted. You can now watch some additional footage of the character below.

The finals for Splatoon Koshien 2016 were held in Japan a few hours ago. As the tournament came to an end, producer Hisashi Nogami came on stage and delivered a short speech.

Nogami started out by talking about how Splatoon debuted for the first time on stage nearly one year ago. He also mentioned that the team owes the progress and success thanks to folks like the ones gathered there, the ones who unfortunately were unable to participate there, and everyone watching the stream at home for their constant support and encouragement.

Nogami moved on by again stating that Splatoon came as far as it has is thanks to players like the ones he’s looking out at right now and has been thinking about ways he can express his appreciation. While Nintendo did say that updates would wrap up at the end of this month, he noted: “I know we announced that the content updates were going to end in January, but it’s possible we might be able to do something more in the future. Just please give us some time. We hope you’ll continue to enjoy Splatoon and the Squid Research Lab!”

You can get a look at Nogami’s speech below. Even though it’s in Japanese, it’s worth a watch since you can see how emotional he gets, and it really comes across how thankful he is.
