FIFA 23 Legacy Edition Game Trial

Original (3/13): Nintendo has announced that FIFA 23 Legacy Edition will be offered to Switch Online members in Europe as the service’s latest Game Trial.

Those with an active subscription can play the game for free starting on March 20, 2023. The full experience will be available until the end of the event. Additionally, save data is compatible with the full title.

Have a Nice Death trailer

Gearbox Publishing and Magic Design Studios have prepared a launch trailer for Have a Nice Death. The game, a 2D action roguelike, just landed on Switch.

Bat Boy release date

Bat Boy, the 8-bit platformer from X Plus and Sonzai Games, has just been given a release date. The two sides have confirmed it’s heading to Switch on May 25, 2023.

We originally reported on Bat Boy in 2021. The project was initially planned for 2022.

LEGO 2K Drive

2K, Visual Concepts, and the LEGO Group have announced LEGO 2K Drive, a “AAA driving adventure game”. It will be available for Switch on May 19, 2023.

LEGO 2K Drive will feature an open world with single and multiplayer support plus the ability to create vehicles. There’ll be different biomes, races, minigames, challenges, collectibles, things to destroy, and a story. The customization system has over 1,000 unique LEGO pieces, but there’ll be standard cars to use from LEGO City, Creator, Speed Champions, and even the McLaren Solus GT, and F1 LM. Co-op will be supported, in addition to competitive multiplayer with up to six players – not to mention two-player split-screen.

Fire Emblem Engage Fell Xenologue DLC

Wave 4 of the Fire Emblem Engage Expansion Pass DLC, which is the Fell Xenologue story scenario, now has a release date. Nintendo and Intelligent Systems revealed today that it will launch on April 4, 2023 (April 5 in Europe).

Fell Xenologue is the final piece of major DLC for Fire Emblem Engage. This will be the most significant round of content as previous waves were focused on new characters.

BROK the InvestiGator update accessibility

BROK the InvestiGator has come out with a new update, which is now available on Switch.

The patch brings about a bunch of new accessibility options. Apparently, this is now the first Switch game to be fully playable by blind players.

Neptunia GameMaker R:Evolution

According to this week’s issue of Famitsu, Compile Heart is developing Neptunia GameMaker R:Evolution for Switch. A release is planned for August 10, 2023 in Japan.

The game, which takes place during an era of competing game studios, is a spin-off starring Adult Neptune. Here are some of the first details, courtesy of Gematsu:

Toodee and Topdee physical

After an initial eShop launch last year, Toodee and Topdee is now receiving the physical treatment on Switch. Limited Run Games will be selling it as part of its distribution line.

Tetris 99 Fire Emblem Engage 32nd Maximus Cup

It’s been a bit since the last notable Tetris 99 event, but the 32nd Maximus Cup has now been announced – and players will have the chance to earn a Fire Emblem Engage theme.

While the event is active, any Nintendo Switch Online member just needs to play the Tetris 99 online mode during the event period. Points are given out based on placement in each match. After reaching 100 points, the unique theme will unlock in Tetris 99 with background art, music and Tetrimino designs inspired by the strategy RPG.

Neon City Riders physical

Neon City Riders is receiving a physical release on Switch with a Super Powered Edition, Limited Run Games has announced.

The game originally released on Switch through the eShop in March 2020. An update was later made available that adjusted the difficulty, added Cypher Kid who sells maps, and brought about Evergray who appears who points players in the right direction. This “Super Powered Edition” update will be in the physical version on Switch.
