Persona 3 Portable 4 Golden developer interview

In this week’s issue of Famitsu, Persona team business producer Atsushi Nomura and Persona team director Daisuke Yajima discussed the work and challenges involved in bringing Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden to new platforms.

Persona 4 Golden did end up on PC back in 2020, but Persona 3 Portable is making its first appearance outside of the PSP. Both also just appeared on home consoles for the first time.

When is the next Nintendo Direct?

Since it’s January, a topic of discussion that tends to pop up around this time is when the next Nintendo Direct will be. That’s not much of a surprise, especially since fans are always curious as to what Nintendo has in store. It’s not out of the question for a new presentation to happen as we start the new year so that we can get a better idea as to what’s planned from a first and third-party perspective.

Lets Talk Fire Emblem Engage impressions

Fire Emblem Engage is a pretty big deal. It’s Nintendo’s first big Switch release of 2023, and the second major entry in the series on Switch.

Trenches gameplay

Trenches was one of the latest releases on the Switch eShop this week, and new gameplay has surfaced. 20 minutes of footage is in.

ARK Ultimate Survival Edition update 2.0.5

Studio Wildcard and Grove Street Games have issued the latest update for ARK: Ultimate Survival Edition, version 2.0.5.

The update is highlighted by the support for the upcoming Ragnarok DLC. There are other highlights as well, including non-dedicated sessions, improved melee combat performance, and more.

Session Skate Sim

According to eShop and retailer listings, publisher Nacon and developer Crea-ture Studios are planning Session: Skate Sim for Switch. The game will be out on March 16, 2023.

Session: Skate Sim, which originally debuted last September, is a pure skateboarding experience that’s controlled by operating the dual sticks as your feet. Lots of customization is also included.

Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak sales five million

Original (1/18): Capcom has provided a sales update on Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. Since launch, it has sold more than five million units worldwide. That information is based on combined sales of the Switch and PC versions.

Last July, at the start of the month, Capcom confirmed that Sunbreak was at two million copies sold. That number increased to three million about a week later. Then it jumped to four million in August.

Re:Call trailer

With Re:Call hitting Switch this week, Whitethorn Games and Matías Schmied have prepared a launch trailer. Fans can get a closer look at what the visual novel-style adventure has to offer.

Verdict Guilty

An eShop listing reveals that Verdict Guilty will soon be appearing on Switch. The title, made by Retro Army Limited and now published by Pixel Heart, arrives on February 16, 2023.

Verdict Guilty is a 90s arcade-style fighting game in which players take on the role of a cop or criminal as they take on a crimelord. More information can be found in the following overview:
