A new Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 update has just gone live, with Inti Creates issuing version 1.3.0.
The big addition here is the inclusion of a new boss battle, “‘The Third Revenger’ Nova”. Inti Creates also included a couple of adjustments and a ton of fixes.

McPixel 3 announced for Switch

McPixel 3, “a mind-blowing save-the-day adventure”, has been announced for Switch. Publisher Devolver Digital and developer Sos Sosowski confirmed today that the title launches on November 14, 2022.
McPixel came out in 2012, but never appeared on Switch. Devolver Digital and Sosowski also ended up going straight to McPixel 3 rather than McPixel 2.

Visual novel Far Away confirmed for Switch

Thermite Games brought Far Away to Kickstarter recently in hopes of securing translations and ports, including a version for Switch. It’s already been a success with the S$12,000 goal having been met. With a bit over two weeks ago, the attention now shifts to stretch goals that mainly involve some physical and digital goodies.
Thermite Games is publishing Far Away, but the title was originally made by Gratesca. It’s a manga-style visual novel with plenty of choices. Players will find that the game has over 500,000 words, nine storylines, sixteen alternate endings, and over 300 options to choose from.

First-person shooter Bones of Halloween hitting Switch this week

Dead Cells reveals Boss Rush update

Original (10/5): A new Boss Rush update is inbound for Dead Cells, Motion Twin and Evil Empire revealed today.
In it, players will fight through four stages of bosses and their enhanced versions. Take them down to unlock a new weapon, skill, mutation, and skins.

Splatoon 3 temporarily pulls Rainmaker from rotation in Anarchy Battle

If you’re a Splatoon 3 player interested in playing Rainmaker in Anarchy Battle, you’ll be out of luck for a bit. Nintendo has confirmed that the mode has been temporarily pulled.
The company said on social media that Rainmaker was taken out from the rotation in Anarchy Battle. This is due to a bug that can cause the score counter to immediately go to one when touching a checkpoint. Thankfully Nintendo is on the case, and an update will be distributed soon to address the situation. The company also apologized for any inconvenience caused.

Pokemon Home update out now on mobile (version 2.0.3), patch notes

A new Pokemon Home update has been released, with the app now at version 2.0.3. Keep in mind that this patch only appears to be available on mobile and not on Switch.
The new update is primarily about addressing issues. On top of that, there’s been a very small text change.

iOS 16.1 adds support for Nintendo Switch Online controllers

Apple has released a new version 16.1 update for its iOS platform, and interestingly enough, there’s a bit of news for Switch owners.
Nintendo Switch Online classic controllers are now supported. Thus far we have confirmation that the SNES and N64 devices work, though we’re waiting to hear if the news also applies to NES and SEGA Genesis. Right now it’s assumed that all of the Switch Online controllers are compatible.
