Blade Assault updated launch date

PM Studios and Team Suneat have provided a new release date for the Switch version of Blade Assault, their action-packed 2D side-scrolling cyberpunk rogue-lite. It will be available on March 31, 2023.

Blade Assault was last planned for September. However, the game was quietly delayed without any additional updates until today.

Infinite Beyond the Mind physical

Today, Strictly Limited Games announced a partnership with Blowfish Studios and Emilie Coyo to produce a physical version of Infinite: Beyond the Mind for Switch. The boxed versions will be out in Spring 2023.

Rhythm Sprout release date

Thanks to publisher tinyBuild and developer SURT, we have a final release date for Rhythm Sprout. The game is on track to release for Switch on February 1, 2023.

Rhythm Sprout was announced for Switch in April 2022. It then received a Q1 2023 release window this past September.

Trenches

Publisher Ratalaika Games and developer Steelkrill Studio have announced that they’re putting Trenches on Switch next week. The title is due out on January 20, 2023.

Trenches is a survival horror game set during World War I that has players surviving and escaping the harsh war-torn environment of the year 1917. Further information is included in the following overview:

Pokemon Scarlet Violet update 1.2.0

Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet will be receiving a new version 1.2.0 update in late February, The Pokemon Company and Nintendo have announced.

Specifics have not yet been shared. However, we do know that it “will include bug fixes and add functionality”. Additional information will follow “soon.”

Gripper

Heart Core today announced that Gripper, its story-driven cyber-bike action-game, is on the way to Switch. A release window hasn’t been provided, but it should be out “soon.”

Gripper is being made by a development team whose credits include Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Rainbow Six Siege. The game features “furious, dark synth tracks, emotionally charged storytelling, and an explosive cyberpunk setting that is sure to excite and delight.”

Fire Emblem Engage Zelkov

The latest character introduction has come in for Fire Emblem Engage, this time focusing on Zelkov. It comes via the series’ Japanese Twitter account with SatsumaFS sharing translations.

Zelkov, a royal soldier of Elusia and Ivy’s retainer, is said to be is quiet and meticulous. Additionally, everything he says sounds like it has hidden meanings.
