3DS eShop

Turtle Cream brought 6180 the moon to Wii U last year. The action game hit the eShop in February 2016.

Now the game is seeing life on another Nintendo platform. Recently, Turtle Cream sent out the word via Twitter that 6180 the moon is heading to New 3DS. It’s also making an appearance at Taipei Game Show 2017.

Update: Added in Sunday’s updates.

Nintendo Badge Arcade has been receiving daily updates since heading to the 3DS eShop. Because it’s continually updated with content, we’re rounding up all of the additions and changes in a weekly post.

Here’s what’s on tap for the week of January 16:

January 16

– 21 Nintendo systems/cartridges panels
– 9 Zelda panels (1 day left)
– 1 free play

Punch Club made it out on the North American 3DS eShop a couple of days ago. The game’s launch trailer has arrived, and we have it below.

Butterfly: Inchworm Animation II arrived on the North American 3DS eShop last October. Now Flat Black Films has confirmed that the app is coming to Europe on January 26.

Similar to its DSiWare predecessor, Butterfly allows users to make looping animations. Eight customizable brush tools are included, with antialiased and transparent brushes, onionskin, stamp-making, and a built-in particle-system. Creations can also be shared online through an official website.

A few new games out came out this week on the Wii U and 3DS eShops. If you’re interested in checking out what’s new in screenshot form, take a look at the gallery below.

First footage is in showing Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment. Watch 12 minutes of gameplay in the video below.

In an interview with Nintendo Life, The Unlikely Legend of Rusty Pup creator Chris Seaver of Gory Detail has stated that development of the Wii U version of the puzzle platformer has stopped for now. Instead, the focus lies on the PC version at the moment – however, as soon as Gory Detail get their hands on a Switch developer kit, they will work on porting the game to Nintendo’s newest system. Additionally, Seaver stated that a release of the 3DS version is “dependent on resources and time issues”.

Here are his statements in full:

“We’re looking to have everything done on the PC side by September or so, the Nintendo Switch side of things depends on when dev kits become available. As you can imagine there’s a lot of people wanting them and I can’t imagine little indies like us are too high on the list. We’ll see.

I’d pretty much back-burnered the Wii U in terms of dev for a while now because of the cost to develop on something that was increasingly seen as a dead end system. Along comes the Switch, hopefully reinvigorating Nintendo’s home console market. It all dovetails nicely. Switch is pretty much a defo, just not sure when. 3DS is dependent on resources and time issues but currently a yes. Wii U, nah.”
