Ohno Odyssey developer Big John Games has confirmed its next project, Strike Force Foxx.

The studio tells us that Strike Force Foxx is a side-scrolling chopper attack and rescue game. It mainly focuses on flying an attack helicopter in different missions, ranging from enemy battles to hostage rescues.

Players will be able to upgrade their chopper with new and more powerful weapons. Additionally, they’ll be able to deliver and release a squad into a battle zone to help beat back the enemy while focusing on rescuing hostages.

All of the game’s mission’s are woven into the story, which “harkens back to 80’s action style television shows,” according to Big John Games president Ken Patterson. The plot is “a little over the top but thoroughly enjoyable.”

Big John hopes “people that have enjoyed choplifter style games in the past will find a lot to like in Strike Force Foxx for the 3DS eShop.”

You can find some art from Strike Force Foxx above. Big John is “putting the finishing touches” on the game, so hopefully we’ll be seeing it soon.

Smits’ tweet is as follows:

Smits also wrote on Twitter that a sequel could begin development “right away” assuming “sales are good.” A new game would incorporate feedback received and possibly a QR code puzzle option.
