A new Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase June 2022 aired this week, and since we’re a few days removed from the presentation, we’d like to hear your thoughts about what was shown.
We might as well start off with the closer of the event, which was the announcement that the mainline Persona series is finally bound for Switch. Persona 5 Royal is coming first this October, with Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable due out later. Speaking of ports, NieR: Auomata was finally confirmed for Switch and is also launching in October. Dragon Quest Treasures got a proper reveal, was confirmed for Switch, and received a December release date. Other announcements included Harvestella from Square Enix, Pac-Man World Re-Pac, Mega Man Battle Network Collection, Super Bomerman R 2, Doraemon Story of Seasons: Friends of the Great Kingdom, Blanc, and Little Noah: Scion of Paradise (which also launched on the same day). You can find the full recap of everything shown here.

[Let’s Talk] Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Nintendo Direct reactions
Posted on 2 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Let's Talk, Switch | 0 comments
We didn’t get a general Nintendo Direct this week, but we did see a game-specific presentation for Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Nintendo went over a lot that was previously known, but showed off some new stuff as well. There was also lots of gameplay to check out before next month’s launch. You can check out the full recap announcement here.
Funnily enough, one of the more noteworthy pieces of information shared is that the game is getting an Expansion Pass, just like the last entry in the series. Nintendo and Monolith Soft will be rolling out new content in four waves through the end of 2023 which will be capped off by a new story scenario. Oh, and amiibo will be supported, including the Shulk figure that grants players the look of the Monado when using the Swordfighter class.
With everything that was shown earlier this week, how are you feeling about the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Direct and the game specifically? What are your thoughts on the Expansion Pass? Will you be picking everything up? Let us know in the comments below.

[Let’s Talk] What do you want to see from Pokemon Scarlet / Violet?
Posted on 2 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Let's Talk, Switch | 0 comments
For Pokemon Day back in February, Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet were announced for Switch. Only a few details have been revealed thus far, including the starters: Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly. The games are also said to have “an open world where various towns with no borders blend seamlessly into the wilderness.”
If Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet see the series’ traditional marketing cycle, there’s a good chance that we’ll be getting new information soon. And if that’s the case, it’s the perfect time to talk about what you’d like to see from the new titles. Are there any types of features you’re hoping will be in the games? Let us know in the comments below.

[Let’s Talk] June 2022 Nintendo Direct hopes and dreams
Posted on 2 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Let's Talk, Switch | 0 comments
E3 might be dead – at least this year – but June is still primed to be a big month for gaming news, announcements, and presentations. Summer Game Fest will be back in action and at least some companies are expected to host events.
The big question is whether we’ll see a new Nintendo Direct next month. Generally speaking, we get three of these events each year: in Q1, then in June, and finally September. The June presentation always ties in with E3. But even though there’s no E3 in 2022, there’s nothing stopping a Nintendo Direct from happening.
Assuming a Nintendo Direct is on track for June, what are you hopes and dreams? What sort of announcements would get you excited for the future of Switch? And which titles do you think would be realistically shown? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below.
