Yet another document indicates that the Wii U will arrive in mid-November.

An internal release sheet obtained by The Verge says that some of the console’s earliest games hit store shelves on November 14. It goes without saying that the Wii U won’t launch on a Wednesday, so a November 18 release would be more likely for the system.

The list does raise some questions, however. A number of titles are listed with a placeholder January 1, 2013 date and much of those prices aren’t final.

Expect Nintendo to share its official launch information for Wii U in September.

This has been one of the longest console generations yet. Whereas new systems would be introduced every five years or so, we’re seeing new technology later than ever before.

The Wii U launches later this year, six years after the Wii arrived. Meanwhile, Sony and Microsoft have yet to unveil their new consoles.

Ubisoft CEO and co-founder Yves Guillemot recently commented on how the company has been “penalized by the lack of new consoles on the market”:

Square Enix will release a Collector’s Pack for Bravely Default: Flying Fairy exclusively through the Square Enix e-Shop.

Although it costs twice the amount as the standard release, a bunch of items are included. A copy of the game, the game’s original soundtrack, an art album, an original protect case for 3DS, and a life size AR poster will be bundled in for 12,800 yen.

New Bravely Default details have arrived, by the way. You can check them out below.

– Job system similar to Final Fantasy V
– Has an element of “cost” for more customization
– Use Job Commands and Support Abilities in battle
– Job Commands are standard commands (magic, attacks, etc.)
– Support Abilities: abilities whose effects are automatic without command input
– Examples of the above: +10% HP, or a knight’s ability to cover a party member who’s in trouble
– One of your Job Commands can be set with an ability that you learned when playing as a separate job
– This allows a knight to use magic
– Set Support Abilities with those learned from another job
– Support Abilities use a cost system
– Players can freely set support abilities, regardless of their originating job, as long as you stay within cost
– This system lets you take a weak white mage and use support abilities to build up the character’s HP and defense strength
– Earn new abilities when your job level rises
– Job level rises as you defeat enemies and acquire “JP” (Job Points)
– Jobs can be raised up to 10 levels
– Characters engage in skits like the Tales series
– Characters will talk about the current state of the story, various side bits, and even share strategies
– “Party Chat” will appear on the lower left of the screen when a skit is available
– Press Y to see the skit
– Large number of skits
– Some rare skits included

Two third-party Wii U games have nearly been confirmed to be running at 1080p. According to a Nintendo representative, Batman: Arkham City – Armored Edition and Assassin’s Creed III will run natively in the resolution.

The one caveat is that we haven’t received an official confirmation of this news. Hopefully the Nintendo rep can be trusted…

Ubisoft is very pleased with pre-order figures for Assassin’s Creed III, it seems. A rumored note sent out to GameStop employees contains lots of praise for assisting the company in smashing its expectations.

More importantly, the note indicates that Ubisoft is “currently in the process of creating a complementary development team that will begin working on post-launch episodic content to continue the Game of the Year experience that Assassin’s Creed 3 will undoubtedly deliver.” It goes on to say more succinctly, “With a dedicated team specifically to this content we plan to set the bar for quality DLC in our industry.”

Along with an Assassin’s Creed III DLC team, a “Season Pass” is mentioned. Unfortunately, not much is said about this (and we’re not sure if it applies to the Wii U version). It’s possible that some sort of discount could be offered for buying all DLC at once though.

The note in full has been attached above. Ubisoft may make all of this official soon.

escapeVektor developer Nnooo can now make Wii U projects. The studio announced that it’s been approved to make games for the console.

Nnooo doesn’t have anything in the pipeline as of yet. However, once it wraps up Spirit Hunters Inc and escapeVektor, the company plans on “prototyping some ideas for the Wii U to get a feel for what we can do.” Creative director Nic Watt says that Nnooo has “already had a quick play with the hardware and everyone in the studio is super impressed by the GamePad and the capabilities of the Wii U itself.”

The official announcement has been posted below.

This is a pretty big feat for Kingdom Hearts 3D. We don’t normally see 3DS games in the top 10 UK charts, let alone a third-party title.
