Volfied is this week’s Arcade Archives game on Switch

Volfied will be appearing on Switch as the latest Arcade Archives game, Hamster announced today. It will be available worldwide on March 28, 2024.
Originally made by Taito in 1989, Volfied is a military strategy game where the objective is to cut off more than 80% of an energy field using a laser cutter to clear the stage, whilst avoiding enemies touching either your aircraft or the line you draw.
Arcade Archives Volfied will be sold digitally via the Switch eShop. Pricing is set at $7.99 / €6.99 / £6.29.

Nintendo has announced the latest update for F-Zero 99, which will bring the game to version 1.3.0. Distribution will begin on March 27 in North America and March 28 in Europe.
The update will let players access the new Mirror Grand Prix, Mirror Tracks for Knight League, and Classic Mini Prix. Note that Mirror Tracks for King League and Queen League will become available in the future, too.

F-Zero Maximum Velocity is set to join Nintendo Switch Online this week, Nintendo has announced. It’ll be going live on March 29, 2024.
F-Zero: Maximum Velocity originally released for the Game Boy Advance. If you’re interested in accessing the game, you’ll need a subscription to the Expansion Pack tier for Nintendo Switch Online.

Rumor: Sonic Heroes remake in development for Switch successor

March 25: A report from Universo Nintendo claims that a remake of the GameCube title Sonic Heroes is on the way, and it will be released on the Switch’s successor.
Little information is known outside of that. The game is apparently being made with Unreal Engine, and could launch in 2025 – though that’s up in the air.

The Stanley Parable will be sold physically as part of a collector’s edition only.
