Here’s a random little tidbit about Super Mario Odyssey. The dog you encounter in the game’s various worlds actually has a connection to another Nintendo title. As it turns out, the model is a direct port of the Shiba Inu model from Nintendogs + Cats.
Twitter user CometMedal shared the factoid on Twitter. You can see the Super Mario Odyssey on the left below, while the Nintendogs + Cats version is on the right.

Super Mario Maker 2 doesn’t support button controls when making levels in portable mode
Posted on 5 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 0 comments
Super Mario Maker 2 essentially has two control schemes as players create levels. When the Switch is docked, you’re forced to use buttons since the screen is inaccessible. Meanwhile, when playing in portable mode, the only option you have is the touch screen.
Kotaku reports that button controls are disabled when making levels after undocking the Switch system and going to handheld play. If you do really want to use buttons, you’ll need to put the console in its dock. Tabletop mode also enables support for buttons, but that probably wouldn’t be the most ideal way to make levels.
