Risk of Rain Returns update 1.0.4

Heads up for Risk of Rain Returns as a new version 1.0.4 update has been made available.

New bug fixes, balance changes, and overall gameplay improvements are a part of the patch. Going into more of the specifics, it also comes with changes for Providence Trials and aiming.

Japan best selling games 2023

New data from Famitsu has provided a listing of the best-selling games in Japan for 2023 plus hardware rankings.

In terms of software, it was a clean sweep for Switch with all ten games coming from that platform. Nintendo had three million sellers with Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and Pikmin 4.

December 22: A new Splatfest is starting soon for Splatoon 3, with an event planned based around the holidays. The theme asks how you spend it. Do you spend time with friends, family, or by yourself?

You’ll be able to give input when the Splatest is held on January 13, 2024. However, players will be able to pick their team earlier on January 5. Note that you’ll be able to get involved at any point – even after the Splatfest begins – so choosing right away isn’t mandatory.

Outer Wilds players on Switch can now access a new update.

The patch contains a number of enhancements in various areas. There are improvements to the visuals, gameplay, and stability. Some fixes are implemented as well.

Knights of Grayfang

Kemco is readying yet another RPG for Switch having now announced Knights of Grayfang. Made by Exe-Create, it will launch on January 19, 2024.

Pokemon Scarlet Violet Hidden Treasure of Area Zero icons Switch Online

December 7: Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet will be wrapping up The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC next week, and to celebrate, fans can get their hands on new Nintendo Switch Online icons.

Characters, backgrounds, and frames are up for grabs. You can nab character icons for 10 My Nintendo Platinum Points each. The backgrounds and frames go for 5 Platinum Points each. All icons you redeem now are yours to keep forever – even if your Nintendo Switch Online subscription expires.

Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age are coming to Nintendo Switch Online via the Expansion Pack tier next week, Nintendo has announced. Both are due out on January 17, 2024.

Golden Sun originally released on the Game Boy Advance in 2001. It was followed by Golden Sun: The Lost Age in 2002 (2003 in the west).

A couple of new videos have come in for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown ahead of next week’s launch. Along with the launch trailer, we have a graphics comparison courtesy of GameXplain.

As noted in the technical analysis post, the Switch version of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown turned out very well. It’s a bit downgraded compared to other platforms, but not in an overly significant way.
