A trio of Japanese commercials are in for Splatoon 2. One is along the lines of live action, while the other two are strictly gameplay focused. All three are included below.

Here’s a little something interesting that we didn’t know about Switch before. With modders now exploring the hardware, it’s been discovered that each system has an internal NES emulator. Aside from the name “flog,” that’s the only information out there.

Now, we do know that NES games will eventually be offered for Switch. Those who subscribe to Nintendo Switch Online starting in 2018 will be able to download a compilation of classic titles with added online play. Super Mario Bros. 3, Balloon Fight, and Dr. Mario will be included in the supported titles. These games should presumably be capable of being emulated right off the bat with the “flog” software installed.

Original: The new Splatoon 2 download from the Switch eShop is mainly intended to vote in the game’s first Splatfest. Aside from that, when you first boot it up, you can choose some customization options for your character and go through the basics. We show that off below, along with a look at Inkopolis Square from the Japanese version.

Update: Now live in North America.

Original: The Splatoon 2: Splatfest World Premiere, announced earlier today, can now be downloaded from the Japanese Switch eShop. North America and Europe should be following very soon. When it’s live in other regions, we’ll update this post.

Splatoon 2: Splatfest World Premiere allows you to participate in the first Splatfest. In the west, Nintendo’s topic is cake vs. ice cream. Japan’s event is based on rock vs. pop.

To download Splatoon 2: Splatfest World Premiere, you’ll need 1.4GB of free space.

Levels+: Addictive Puzzle Game is already on track to launch on the Japanese Switch eShop next week. Based on a store listing, Europe is getting it as well. The eShop indicates that the puzzler will release on July 13 in PAL regions.

We have the following overview from the listing:

Levels+ is an addictive puzzle game that you’ll want to challenge over and over again.

The rule is simple. Slide and match panels with the same color and number to level up!

The blue panel is your ally. It will get stronger as you level up. The red panel is your enemy and it will get in your way. Level up your blue panels to defeat your foe.

The yellow panel is your treasure. Level it up to increase its wealth.

There is no time limit, and the auto-save feature allows you to play even with interruptions, so reach for your high score at your own pace.

It looks simple but you need to use your brain. Recommended for both people not so good at games and for those who are looking for a certain challenge, this puzzle game features a new refreshing feeling.

For those wondering, Levels+: Addictive Puzzle Game will be a 79MB download.
