Fire Emblem Engage update 2.0.0

Nintendo and Intelligent Systems just started distribution of a new version 2.0.0 update for Fire Emblem Engage.

The update is highlighted by the availability of the Fell Xenologue DLC, which can be accessed as part of the game’s Expansion Pass. It will be playable after finishing the sixth chapter and unlocking the ability to transform items using the Ancient Well in the Somniel. Aside from new story content, it includes the enchanted and mage cannoneer unit classes plus a variety of items.

Cavity Busters

Today, publisher Jandusoft announced that it’s bringing Cavity Busters to Switch. The game will be available digitally on April 20, 2023.

Cavity Busters is a roguelite bullet hell shooter “where you use your one and only tooth to chomp the cavity infested enemies.” Read more about it below.

Digital Eclipse is still working on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection, and has just released the latest update for the game.

One of the major highlights is online play for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: The Manhattan Project. There’s also additional art and more ads for the Turtles’ Lair.

Overwatch 2 Lifeweaver

Blizzard announced today that Lifeweaver is joining Overwatch 2 as a new playable character. He’s the 37th hero and newest Support for the game.

Pokemon Unite update 1.9.1.5

Pokemon Unite has gone live with another update, with version 1.9.1.5 having been made available.

Various adjustments are included for a few different playable Pokemon. Text fixes and bug fixes are included as well.

Shigeru Miyamoto violent games

Speaking with Variety, Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto clarified that he’s not against shooters and violent video games.

Some have had the perception that the Mario creator is opposed to violence in these types of experiences. That’s not the case, but Miyamoto feels it’s his “mission to find other ways to make an interesting and fun game.” When it comes to Mario, he’s “a character that never hurts other people”.

Mario mobile

After previous resistance when it came to putting content on mobile, several years ago, Nintendo started to branch out and toy around with different apps you can experience on a smart device. Mario even got in on the action with Super Mario Run, which is available on iOS and Android. However, Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto has indicated that mobile won’t be Mario’s home in the future.

Miyamoto told Variety in an interview: “Mobile apps will not be the primary path of future Mario games.”
