Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass DLC waves leak

A previous leak may give an idea about which platforms will be represented in future waves of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass DLC.

Back in March, after the debut of the first wave, Twitter user Fishguy6564 posted a video showing cups with potential prefixes. It seemed to suggest that Nintendo had already decided on the full lineup of tracks the game would be adding from prior titles. We still don’t have complete confirmation, but this week’s announcement of the second wave gives credence to the original speculation.

Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet leaks round 2

A ton of rumored details about Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet started to leak last week, and another round of information surfaced over the past few days.

The supposed tidbits come from the original sources as last time. Centro Leaks is one of the Twitter accounts that has rounded up the details. Information again covers new Pokemon, returning Pokemon, plus other aspects like Gym Leaders, breeding/Eggs, and even how big the map is.

Immortals Fenyx Rising spin-off Polynesian culture

A new rumor has suggested that Immortals Fenyx Rising is getting a new spin-off planned based on Hawaiian Polynesian culture.

Giant Bomb’s Jeff Grubb shared what he heard about the project from a source during a Games Mess Decides podcast episode. Other tidbits include that the God narrator will again be featured, though apparently Ubisoft may go for a visual style that won’t be as similar to Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Oddworld: Soulstorm

Will we be seeing Oddworld: Soulstorm on Switch? A new store listing has been discovered, suggesting that an announcement will be happening in the future.

Dutch retailer Nedgame has put up a couple of pages for a Switch version. If what’s included there is accurate, the game will be getting a standard release as well as a collector’s edition. A tentative December 31 launch date is listed, though that’s not really notable.

metroid prime 1 remaster switch

According to Giant Bomb’s Jeff Grubb, who has a track record of leaking gaming news, a remastered version of Metroid Prime will be released on Switch this holiday. Additionally, Metroid Prime 2 and 3 will be appearing on the system at a later date as well.

Grubb shared what he’s heard about previous Metroid Prime games for Switch during his “Game Mess Mornings” show today. He started out by sharing the following:

Fire Emblem Switch leak

Earlier today, we reported on rumored details regarding the next Fire Emblem game for Switch. We heard about a few aspects such as a new character that has strange red and blue hair with a mother that’s a dragon, the ability to summon characters from previous titles, and more.

Reddit user miasmadelta has now come forward with images supposedly showing off the game. They at least back up what we heard earlier about the main character. miasmadelta also says that the summoning aspect isn’t a huge part of the game and says it’s not set in modern day.

Emily Rogers, who is known for sharing Nintendo rumors, made a new post on gaming forum Famiboards yesterday regarding supposed details for a new Fire Emblem game on Switch.

The juiciest tidbit is that the title has apparently been finished for over a year. While it was originally planned to celebrate the series’ 30th anniversary, Nintendo ended up holding on to the game for a later date.

nintendo direct rumor june 2022

We’re in the middle of June and what would have been E3, so many can’t help but wonder if and when a Nintendo Direct presentation will air. Although there’s absolutely no confirmation currently, there’s talk that an event could be happening at the end of this month.

Today’s rumor comes from Alanah Pearce, a writer that previously worked at IGN and is now with Sony Santa Monica. During a live stream, Pearce seemed confident in stating that a Nintendo Direct is coming on June 29.

According to a new report from Fanbyte, Nintendo has been developing a 1-2 Switch sequel tentatively known as Everybody’s 1-2 Switch, though it’s unclear what the status of the project is. The site’s report has been published after speaking with “multiple sources with knowledge of the product in question”, though cautioned that things could change.

In any case, below are the highlights:

Super Mario Bros animated movie details leaked

The Super Mario Bros. animated movie was announced years ago, yet there’s very little that we actually know. The main cast had been previous confirmed, but in terms of what to actually expect, things have been quiet.

Before that recent delay took place, rumored details about the film supposedly leaked online. The information is a bit dubious, but GamesBeat’s Jeff Grubb, who has a history with leaking news pertaining to games, seems to think that it could be legitimate and may have come about from audience testing.
