Xbox and Obsidian issued a new version 1.4.4 update for Grounded, which includes some Switch-specific additions and changes such as gyro support.

Gyro functionality is optional, and it can be turned on and off with one of the settings. Elsewhere Microsoft accounts are no longer permanently linked, cutscenes have been improved to make them less choppy, and more.

Punch Club 2 Fast Forward update 1.0.6

Punch Club 2: Fast Forward has been given a new update with version 1.0.6.

This patch is mainly about some helpful quality of life improvements and bug fixes. Now players will have the option to start out at the beginning of the Iron Fist DLC and skip the Silvers League.

Gimmick 2 release date

Clear River Games, Sunsoft, and Bitwave Games just provided the release date for Gimmick 2. The title is slated for September 5, 2024 on Switch.

You might be surprised by just how quickly Gimmick 2 is launching. We only just found out about the project in June, and now it’s less than a month away.

Dicefolk Chimeras Pack DLC

Dicefolk not only has new DLC on the way (known as the Chimeras Pack), but also a free update. Both will be coming to Switch this year.

Starting off with the DLC, this adds new content – namely new chimeras, new equipment, and more. Here’s some additional information:

The Knightling

Today, publisher Saber Interactive and developer Twirlbound unveiled their new project The Knightling. The game is confirmed to be in development for Switch, but the two sides did not provide a release window.

The Knightling is an action adventure platformer. You’ll take on the role an aspiring knight who’s on the search for their missing mentor, and as the journey continues, you’ll become the unlikely hero.

Elsie release date

A couple of years after it was announced, Elsie now has a release date. Confirmed today is that the title launches on September 10, 2024.

Elsie, a neo-retro roguelike with gun-and-gun gameplay, was originally revealed in 2022. This is the first time any sort of release window was shared.

Minecraft update 1.21.20

Heads up for Minecraft players, as the latest update for the game has been released with version 1.21.20.

The update contains a variety of quality-of-life improvements and fixes to the Minecraft experience. This relates to performance, gameplay, and more.

Hamster will release Knuckleheads as the latest Arcade Archives game on Switch, the company announced today. A worldwide release is planned for August 15, 2024.

Boulder Dash 40th Anniversary

BBG Entertainment is working on Boulder Dash 40th Anniversary, the company announced today. The game is now in development for Switch.

Little is known about the project at this time. BBG Entertainment simply says that it’s celebrating the game’s big anniversary with a “reboot” of the classic title, which was first released for Atari and Commodore home computers in 1984.

Boulder Dash 40th Anniversary is due out on Switch this fall / winter. Those attending Gamescom can try out the game in Hall 10.2 between August 21 and August 25. The same booth will have demos for Astrosmash and Shark Shark, which are already available on Switch.

Tetris 99 42nd Maximus Cup Splatoon 3 Side Order

August 2: Nintendo isn’t slowing down with special Tetris 99 events, and today announced the 42nd Maximus Cup featuring Splatoon 3: Side Order.

Those that have access to Nintendo Switch Online can play in the event. Simply partake in the online mode while the event is active and you’ll earn points for every match. Note that points are determined based on where you finish. After hitting 100 points, the Splatoon 3: Side Order theme will be yours. The design features background art, music, and Tetrimino designs inspired by the game’s DLC.
