Escape Academy The Complete Edition

Original (4/19): Escape Academy launched last year, but a new Switch version known as The Complete Edition has just been announced. The game is hitting the system this fall.

Escape Academy is a puzzle experience with “over a dozen masterfully hand crafted rooms, designed by experienced experts in the field”. The Switch version will contain the base game, Escape from Anti-Escape Island DLC, and the upcoming Escape from the Past DLC.

Pinball M

Zen Studios has announced Pinball M, a platform dedicated to horror pinball tables. Switch will be getting it “soon”.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 El Tigre

Original (8/30): El Tigre is joining Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, it’s been revealed. GameMill, Ludosity, and Fair Play Labs made the announcement in a new trailer today.

Other new characters include Plankton and Squidward from SpongeBob SquarePants, Raphael and Donatello from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Jimmy Neutron. A number of fighters from the original game are returning as well.

Super Mario Bros Wonder deadline

Game development often includes deadlines, but at least early on, that’s something the Super Mario Bros. Wonder development team didn’t need to worry about. In an interview with Wired, producer Takashi Tezuka revealed that the game wasn’t given a due date while prototyping was going on.

Tezuka said: “I wanted to prevent people from saying, ‘We won’t make that deadline, so that’s why we didn’t do it – we can’t do it.'”

Pokemon Scarlet Violet DLC leak

New leaks for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet have started to come online, and thus far big news is floating around regarding a new Pokemon form and a new creature entirely. Twitter users Kaphotics and ElChicoEevee have been sharing information on social media. Treachery in Beatdown City: Ultra Remix

Treachery in Beatdown City is set to receive a big Ultra Remix update, Nuchallenger announced today. This comes more than three years after the original launch.

G.I. Joe Wrath of Cobra

G.I. Joe: Wrath of Cobra is in development and will land on Switch, publisher Freedom Games and developer Maple Powered Games announced today. It will be available in Q1 2024.

G.I. Joe Wrath of Cobra is a retro-style beat ‘em up game featuring franchise favorites like Duke, Scarlett, and Snake Eyes. Players will look to thwart Cobra Commander in battles set at iconic locales like Cobra Island and the Pit.

Ebenezer and the Invisible World release date

Play on Worlds today shared a final release date for Ebenezer and the Invisible World. On Switch and other platforms, it’ll be available on November 3, 2023.

Ebenezer and the Invisible World is a Metroidvania game that we previously reported on in June. This is the first time we’re hearing about launch timing. 

ESDigital Games and Magic Hazard are putting Memory Lost on Switch, the two companies announced today. It’s scheduled for a Q4 2023 release.

Magic Hazard is a story-driven action shooter

Bish Bash Bots release date

Publisher Firestoke and developer Catastrophic Overload today shared a release date for Bish Bash Bots. It’s launching for Switch on October 19, 2023.
