Today, publisher Microids and developer Fishing Cactus announced Corsairs: Battle of the Caribbean. The game is due out on Switch in 2024.
Corsairs: Battle of the Caribbean marks the return of Corsairs Gold, a game that allowing players to take on the role of a privateer serving England, France, or Holland, in their quest for fame and fortune. The new real-time strategy title features “the thrilling Campaign and Adventure modes, as well as a new Skirmish mode where players can challenge AI opponents in solo play or engage in online multiplayer with up to 4 players.”

The latest update for Tetris Effect: Connected has been released and version 2.0.2 is available.
There are a couple of specific highlights worth pointing out. First, there’s a new and tougher “Hyper” option in Maniac Mode in the match options of Connected Mode. There’s also an info button in the Friend Match lobby.

Haiku the Robot just received a pretty major update known as “Obscure Information”.
The update includes two new bosses, a new area , and general improvements across the entire game. Players will go on a journey to a hidden area in Old Arcadia and uncover the ‘Trial of Steel’, which is a challenging Boss Rush Mode that offers a fresh experience with revamped robots. There’s also a practice room where you can sharpen your skills against these newly enhanced machines.

The Good Life getting a physical release on Switch

A physical release for The Good Life is in the works, Limited Run Games just announced.
There are plans for both a standard version and a collector’s edition. The latter includes a copy of the game, an art book, character cards, town brochure, and more.

Escape Academy announces Escape from the Past DLC

Coin Crew Games, in partnership with publishers iam8bit and Skybound Games, have announced Escape Academy’s second DLC titled Escape from the Past.

Action adventure game The Last Hero of Nostalgaia heading to Switch

Publisher Coatsink and developer Over the Moon have confirmed that they’re putting The Last Hero of Nostalgaia on Switch. It’s due out on June 20, 2023.
On the same day, players will be able to purchase new DLC dubbed The Rise of Evil. This adds the Easymaker’s Retreat and The Builder’s Sanctuary as new areas and involves defeating three new bosses.
Nintendo effectively shutting down the Switch eShop in Russia

An email recently sent to publishers reveals that Nintendo is effectively shutting down the Switch eShop in Russia.
The company intends to “wind down” its Russian subsidiary. Additionally, consumers will be unable to purchase content or use download codes as of May 31, 2023. Previously-purchased content will still be accessible.
Nintendo said in the email that the move is being done due to “the economic outlook”. You can read the more complete notice below.
