Nintendo has revealed the Japanese lineup for the September 2020 Nintendo Switch Online update, and it’s a bit different than what we’re getting in North America.

Donkey Kong County 2 will still be added. On top of that, the region is getting Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, Super Tennis, and Wild Guns.

Note that if you’re a Nintendo Switch Online subscriber, you can access the Japanese versions of the NES / SNES apps as long as you have a Japanese Nintendo Account. However, it won’t be playable in English.

Nintendo has announced a new set of games coming to Switch Online as part of an update for September 2020.

As far as the SNES games go, users can look forward to Donkey Kong Country 2, Mario’s Super Picross, and The Peace Keepers. S.C.A.T.: Special Cybernetic Attack Team is the lone NES addition.

Rivals of Aether

Switch fans have long been waiting for Rivals of Aether: Definitive Edition, the acclaimed fighting game from Dan Fornace. The good news is that it’ll finally be launching in just a few days.

Rivals of Aether: Definitive Edition is now confirmed for release on September 24. It will be sold digitally for Switch via the eShop.

We’re told that Rivals of Aether: Definitive Edition “is fully loaded with content including six additional characters on top of the base eight and two of them are guests from popular indie games Ori and the Blind Forest and Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove.” It also comes with “new features including 4 Player Online Multiplayer and a new Tetherball Game Mode.”

Battle Hunters

Phase Two Games has set a release date for its squad-based RPG Battle Hunters. The title is launching for Switch on October 20, where it will be available via the eShop.

Worm Jazz

Inconspicuous Creations has announced that Worm Jazz, a puzzler about a worm shuffling its way through a series of mazes, is heading to Switch next week. The game’s release is scheduled for September 21.

The third-person sci-fi adventure game The Uncertain: Light at the End was previously announced for Switch, but it’s now seeing a delay. All console versions are now launching in 2021, New Game Order and META Publishing announced today.

Super Squidlit

The platformer Squidlit made it to Switch earlier this year. It’s now been confirmed that the follow-up, Super Squidlit, will launch in early 2021 on the system.
