Update: The My Nintendo website went into a little more detail on the process. In Europe, one Gold Point equals 1 cent, so if you have 500 Gold Points, you could buy a game that costs 5€ with those points or get a 5€ discount on a more expensive game.

Also, how many gold points you get per purchase is changing. Here are the new exchange rates for digital and physical games:

D3 Publisher is gearing up for another one of its Switch games. Billiard is planned for both Europe and Japan next week, and likely North America as well.

Billiard features four game types plus a Tournament Mode. You can also battle a friend locally with a single Switch system. You can use the Joy-Con to aim and fire your shot, and you’ll receive feedback with HD Rumble.

Update: Bumped to the top. The European Switch eShop lists Samurai Aces for the same day – probably the same for North America then.


Update: We recently heard that Zerodiv has been preparing a series of new arcade games for Switch. The Japanese eShop now confirms that Samurai Aces is due out next week.

Samurai Aces was originally released by Psikyo in 1993. The vertical shooter has six characters, each with a unique plane and primary / secondary and bomb attacks.

Samurai Aces will be available on February 15 for 864 yen.

Detention isn’t very far away from reaching Switch. According to a listing on the European eShop, the game will be out on March 1. It should be available in North America around the same time.

Detention is described as “a unique atmosphere horror game heavily influenced by Taiwanese/East Asian culture, religious elements, and mythology.” The 2D atmospheric horror side-scroller is based on 1960s Taiwan under martial law in which players take control of “characters who venture into the school beset by hostile supernatural events to uncover stories behind the haunted place.” Coconut Island Games promises “unique graphics and gaming experience.”

ATOMIK: RunGunJumpGun will be out on Switch tomorrow via the eShop, and we now have some footage of it in action. Have a look at the gameplay below.

Netmarble Games revealed this week that Seven Knights is coming to Switch. The RPG previously found success on mobile, and will now be made for Nintendo’s console.

It seems that Nintendo helped set the wheels in motion for Seven Knights on Switch. The Big N apparently reached out to Netmarble, and after it was discussed internally, they decided to move ahead with it. But since development is early on, we could be waiting awhile for something concrete from the Switch version.

Guilt Battle Arena

Invincible Cat has announced Guilt Battle Arena for Switch. The game features couch multiplayer battles and co-op combat.

In Guilt Battle Arena, you’ll have a single bullet to fire at your opponents. You’ll then need to “rebound” your bullet before firing again. Invincible Cat says that the gameplay element “introduces a new strategic element where thinking about where your bullet will land is as important as where you shoot”.

Aqua Kitty UDX is coming to Switch, Tikipod has announced. Even better, the game is just a week away. We’ll be seeing it on February 15 on the eShop.

Aqua Kitty UDX is an arcade shoot-em-up. Here’s the general premise:

Due to a sudden shortage of milk, cats around the world are forced to seek out new sources to get their fix. You and your team of milk mining kittens have overcome a fear of water to drill down under the ocean seabed and begin extracting vast reserves of what seems to be naturally forming full-fat milk. Get ready for fast paced submarine action, defending the kittens from disruptive mechanical sea creatures.
