Switch eShop

Hamster has announced Darius II as the latest Arcade Archives game on Switch. A worldwide release is planned for October 5, 2023.

A side-scrolling shooter released by Taito in 1989, in Darius II players operate the Silver Hawk aircraft to advance through stages based on the planets of the Solar System. Bosses modelled after marine life will stand in their way as they progress.

Arcade Archives Darius II will cost $7.99 / €6.99 / £6.29 on the Switch eShop.

Synergia NextGen Edition Sunrise

Original (9/25): Synergia originally appeared on Switch in February 2021, but it’s returning with an entirely new NextGen Edition. It will launch on October 3, 2023.

This version of the game is highlighted by the addition of a Sunrise expansion. It also comes with new in-game content never before seen, including a 56-page original artbook, in-game comic reader, music listening room, and more.

Bilkins' Folly launch trailer

We saw Bilkins’ Folly on Switch this week, and the launch is being promoted with a new trailer from Armor Games Studios. Switch owners can now get their hands on the narrative adventure game.

Skate Bums

Today, Lucky Last Studio announced that it’s working on Skate Bums for Switch. The game will be available in early 2024.

Skate Bums is an action-packed skateboarding platformer inspired by 90’s skate culture. More information can be found in the following overview:

Gravity Circuit update Speedrun Mode

Gravity Circuit just received a new version 1.0.8 update, and it’s highlighted by a brand new Speedrun Mode.

The mode can be unlocked with a special cheat code and lets players “skip various cutscenes and interactions for a smoother gameplay experience.” Also now available is loadout customization, a Training Room, and more.

Worldless

Original (8/23): Thunderful, Coatsink, and Noname Studios confirmed today that they’re bringing Worldless to Switch. Additionally, a release date of October 4, 2023 was announced.

Worldless is a 2D adventure platformer featuring turn-based combat and “a mind-bending, interpretative narrative.” Additional information can be found in the following overview:

Kingdom Eighties release date

We’ve got a release date for Kingdom Eighties on Switch, and the game isn’t far off with its launch planned for this month. Raw Fury and Fury Studios confirmed today that it will launch on October 16, 2023.

Kingdom Eighties, the new standalone game in the micro-strategy series, was previously announced for Switch in March. We knew it was due out sometime this year, but nothing more specific beyond that.

Lunistice update 1.05b

Lunistice got its latest update on Switch, and version 1.05b is available now. With the patch, it’s now in line with the current PC version.

One notable highlight here is a “Smooth Camera” option intended to address motion sickness that some players may have experienced. A number of balance adjustments and fixes are implemented as well.
