Amber Isle delayed to November on Nintendo Switch [update: now February]

October 8: The Nintendo Switch version of Amber Isle is seeing a last-minute delay. Originally scheduled for October 17, it will now launch on November 21. Other versions of the game appear to be unaffected.
In a statement posted on social media by Team17, it was explained that there are “console-specific performance issues” to iron out. Further mentioned is that the game “needs more time to reach our high-performance standards” on Switch.

ININ Games shared more information about its new version of X-Out: Resurfaced, including a release date and physical edition.
The game launches digitally for Nintendo Switch on February 20, 2025. A physical special edition will be offered through ININ Games’ online store. It comes with the game, original soundtrack CD, and a history art book featuring interviews with the original Rainbow Arts developers and helpful in-depth tips about the ships and weapons for new X-Out cadets.

Thanks to Gravity Game Arise, we now have a release date for Kamibako: Mythology of Cube in the west. It’ll come to North America and Europe on Nintendo Switch on January 30, 2025.
Kamibako: Mythology of Cube has been in Japan since August. Now fans in other regions will be able to experience the game, which features a mix of map-crafting, puzzle, battle, and RPG elements.

Yet another Nintendo Switch game has been announced by publisher Ratalaika Games, and this time it’s Squab. The game arrives on January 31, 2025.
Squab was made by Guimaraf Studio. This 2D platformer has players taking on the role of a young pigeon as they attempt to save his father, Maximus.

Captain Blood release date set for May, new trailer

A final release date is in for Captain Blood. The game hits Nintendo Switch on May 7, 2025, publisher SNEG and developers Seawolf Studio and General Arcade announced today.
Captain Blood was confirmed for Nintendo Switch last summer. This is the first time we’ve been given any sort of launch window.

Another Arcade Archives game is about to drop on Nintendo Switch, with Final Star Force due to release worldwide tomorrow, January 23.
Final Star Force is a shooting game released by Tecmo in 1992, and a sequel to Star Force, set 2000 years later. The antagonist from the previous game has returned, and your objective is to defeat them in a final battle.

Windswept on the way to Nintendo Switch

Windswept, a new project coming from publisher Top Hat Studios and developer WeatherFell, has been confirmed for Nintendo Switch. This one is expected in 2025.
