Before We Leave

The city building game Before We Leave is landing on Switch next month, publisher Team17 and developer Balancing Monkey Games have confirmed. A release is planned for August 2, 2022.

Before We Leave initially launched in May 2021. Players are tasked with building settlements for the newly emerged Peeps and rediscovering civilization after they spent generations underground. Since their knowledge is limited, expect to grow, gather, and manage resources to help settlements thrive, and share goods between nearby hexagonal lands and planets. The game has a total of six unique biomes on islands of all shapes and sizes to explore.

Severed Steel gameplay

Severed Steel, a single-player FPS from Digerati and Greylock Studio, has received a new round of gameplay. We have 15 minutes of footage from the just-released version for Nintendo’s console.

Labyrinth of Zangetsu debut trailer

Acquire has issued the first trailer for Labyrinth of Zangetsu, its Japanese-style 3D dungeon RPG.

The game was first announced in January 2021. However, it fell off the radar after that, with Acquire then providing an update on the project last month and reconfirming that it was still in the works. KaeruPanda is leading the way on development.

Hell Pie delayed

Hell Pie has been delayed on Switch, developer Sluggerfly has announced.

We originally heard that the title was on track to release this past Thursday. However, some of you may have noticed that it did not end up launching.

Arcade Archives Chack'n Pop gameplay

Hamster has showed gameplay from Chack’n Pop, its latest Arcade Archives title on Switch. The game just landed on Nintendo’s console a few days ago.

Coromon gameplay

Freedom Games and TRAGsoft have brought Coromon to Switch, and if you’re interested in seeing what it’s about, you may want to check out new gameplay that has come in. 70 minutes of footage is available.

QUByte Classics: Thunderbolt Collection

QUByte Classics: Thunderbolt Collection has been announced for Switch and will be available in just a couple of weeks. Everyone will be able to pick it up as of August 4, 2022.

This new collection includes two vertically-scrolling shoot ’em up titles. QUByte’s port includes the 8-bit and 16-bit versions of the game, both with official English localization and new features such as control remapping, different screen types, and save states.

orbit.industries update 1.0.3

Another update has gone live for orbit.industries, with the game now moving up to version 1.0.3.

Players can access a new round of improvements, balancing adjustments, and fixes.

OlliOlli World Oxenfree

The worlds of OlliOlli World and Oxenfree are colliding as part of a new collaboration.

Private Division and Roll7’s partnership with Night School Studio comes about in celebration of OlliOlli World’s VOID Riders DLC. Players can now skate through a procedurally generated level in OlliOlli World through the Gnarvana Portal which unlocks an all-new remix by Nikitch of scntfc’s “Beacon Beach” from Oxenfree.
