Luna's Fishing Garden

If you’re in for a cozy fishing and building game, Luna’s Fishing Garden may be right up your alley. Publisher AbsoDev and developer Coldwild Games have announced plans to put the title on Switch this week.

Luna’s Fishing Garden features a story in which main character Cassie wakes up on an island that belongs to the fox spirit Luna. She’s then tasked with creating the biggest garden ever. As one of the main gameplay mechanics, players can catch over 20 types of fish with unique behavior. A garden can also be made by planting trees on the islands, placing floating objects on the water, and bringing in birds and animals. You can even trade with the fox spirit.

Beast Breaker

Earlier this year, we reported on a new Switch game known as Beast Breaker. The project, described as a turn-based “mouse-bouncing adventure”, is now just a couple of weeks away from landing on Switch.

Beast Breaker comes from Vodeo Games. The company was formed by Asher Vollmer, creator of the extremely popular and well-regarded puzzle title Threes. Switch never received Threes in the end, but the system is at least getting Vollmer’s new project.

Spiritfarer

A number of new deals are up and running on the North American Switch eShop. These include Amnesia: Collection, Civilization VI, Everspace: Stellar Edition, Prison Architect: Nintendo Switch Edition, Spiritfarer, and more.

Apple Knight Switch

Apple Knight is making its way to Switch next week, an eShop listing reveals. Limitless, the game’s developer, will have the new port ready to go on September 9.

Apple Knight first debuted on mobile where it has had a pretty popular run. The game is an action platformer with with 40 stages including four boss fights. Players will explore vast levels filled with secrets, quests, and loot while fighting through hordes of evil wizards, knights, and creatures (if that wasn’t enough, traps can be used as another tactic to take out enemies). It’s also possible to customize character skins, weapons and abilities. The mobile version contains “Endless Adventure” in which players can go through endless random levels and get their high score on a leaderboard, though it’s unclear if this will be in the Switch version. We do at least know that now you can use proper button controls.
