Nintendo is making progress with the Virtual Console on Wii U and 3DS… slowly.
Next week, the first TurboGrafx-16/PC Engine game will be hitting both eShops in Japan. The Wii U will also launch its debut MSX title.
No word yet on when support for these two platforms will be coming to the west. Soon, hopefully!

New Japanese Wii U eShop game “Gaiabreaker” out next week
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Wii U eShop | 0 comments
Wii U eShop titles from Japanese developers/publishers are a rare thing these days. We’ve seen a couple of games here and there, but nothing too substantial.
Ubiquitous Entertainment will be looking to provide a boost with its new eShop title “Gaiabreaker”. It’s a vertical shooter with leaderboard support.
Pricing is set at 1,890 yen for Gaiabreaker. The game is slated for December 25 in Japan.

Super Ubie Land’s final name: Super Ubie Island
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 0 comments
Notion Games has announced a final name for Super Ubie Land on Wii U. Going forward, it’ll be known as “Super Ubie Island”.
Interestingly, Nintendo appears to have requested the latest name change. Notion speculates that the Big N may have thought Super Ubie Land would have been too similar to Super Mario 3D Land.
Super Ubie Island is the final name of the game! Adding letters all over this title haha pic.twitter.com/rfWYHBwxw9

Super Ubie Land vs Super Mario 3d Land is my biggest guess for Nintendo wanting us to change again. Understandably so. Could cause confusion

Mega Man VC sale not valid in Canada
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS eShop, News, Wii U eShop | 12 Comments
Two Mega Man Virtual Console games went on sale yesterday. Mega Man X and Mega Man: Dr. Wily’s Revenge were discounted in the US, but the sale doesn’t apply to North America as a whole. Unfortunately, for whatever reason(s), neither Mega Man title has been discounted in Canada.
Thanks to Steven for the tip.
