New Just Dance 2016 feature and tracks unveiled at Gamescom

Just Dance 2016 is seeing a double dose of reveals at Gamescom 2015.
First, Ubisoft announced a new lip-syncing-focused mode known as “Showtime”. Here’s how it works:
The new Showtime mode will allow players to unleash their inner star by creating unique music videos of themselves performing. Players lip-sync and perform along to hit songs in the game and the video footage is then turned into a fun shareable music video. The music videos pull in both creative visual elements and pop cultural references— each song will have a distinctive and visually original atmosphere. A Wii U Gamepad is required to play this mode.
We also have several new tracks that are now confirmed for the game:

• “Fun” by Pitbull Ft. Chris Brown
• “Lights” by Ellie Goulding
• “I’m An Albatraoz” by AronChupa
• “Circus” by Britney Spears

Another two weapons are coming to Splatoon shortly

In just a few hours from now, Nintendo will be bringing out Splatoon’s major 2.0.0 update. But a couple of new weapons will be added to the game as well.
Nintendo will be introducing the “Barrel Spinner” as well as the “Bucket Splosher”. Screenshots and translated tweets about each are posted below.
On the 6th of August 11am Japan time, the new weapon “Barrel Spinner” = Splatling will be added.
This will be the standard Spinner type weapon, where a charging mechanic allows it to have better range and fire rate than regular shooter type weapons.
Its sub will be Splash Wall, and its special will be Inkstrike.
At the same time, the new weapon “Bucket Slosher” will be added. It will be able to spread a lot of ink in a line, while bypassing obstacles and height differences for the purposes of attacking an opponent.
It will have the Splat Burst Bomb as sub, and Inkstrike as special.

Xenoblade Chronicles X Wii U Premium Pack, Limited Edition Pack heading to Europe

Nintendo has announced two new Xenoblade Chronicles X items for Europe. When the Wii U game hits in December, consumers will be able to purchase the Premium Pack or Limited Edition Pack.

Mighty No. 9 delayed, now targeted for Q1 2016

Mighty No. 9 has received a significant delay. On the game’s backer forums, it was confirmed that the title is now targeted for Q1 2016.
Speaking about the delay, the team behind Mighty No. 9 stated:
Of course, it is important to explain why exactly the game is being delayed. As we have communicated in the updates to our backers, all of the core content for the game is developed and in a complete state. However, there are still bugs and issues pertaining to the online features that are included in the game. These bugs and issues have a direct affect on enjoyment of the game, so a decision was made to work these issues out before release. Currently, comcept and their partners are working at full capacity to resolve these issues and fix any remaining bugs.
Remember: Mighty No. 9 was originally planned for September. It could now launch as late as March 2016.

LEGO Marvel’s Avengers due out in January

LEGO Marvel’s Avengers is shipping on January 26 in North America and January 29 in Europe, Warner Bros. Interactive announced today.
Those who pre-order the game at GameStop will receive an exclusive Silver Centurion Iron Man LEGO minifigure.

Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water – Limited Edition revealed, demo coming (EU)

Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water has been dated for Europe, where it’s known as “Project Zero” Maiden of Black Water”. Nintendo announced that the game is launching on October 30.
Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water – Limited Edition will be made available at retail. This features a copy of the game, a double-sided poster, an art book, four Spirit Photographs, and a SteelBook cover.
Additionally, the title will be receiving a trial/demo version at launch. It comes with the prologue and first two chapters.
