As part of the latest United States gaming sales report from Circana, we’re now hearing that Nintendo Switch 2 is 75 percent ahead of the unit sales pace set by Switch 1. The new console has now surpassed two million units sold in the U.S.
Gaming hardware sales in the U.S. were up 21 percent in July compared to the previous year, reaching $384 million. That’s actually the highest hardware spending in a July month since the $441M achieved in July 2008.

New data from Circana gives us a look at the best-selling games of July 2025 specifically on Nintendo platforms.
As we saw in the top twenty list for all platforms, Donkey Kong Bananza is on top here. However, something that’s notable is Super Mario Party – thanks to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, it moves from #11 to #2. Also, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 is the top third-party seller at #3.

Circana has released a listing of the top ten best-selling games in the U.S. for the month of July 2025.
We’re now able to see how Donkey Kong Bananza performed, with the game landing at #3. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4, another new title, is right behind at #4.

Another massive No Man’s Sky update is on the way with “Voyagers”. The patch should be going out soon on Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch.
The latest content additions, improvements, and fixes are included here. This time around, Corvette-class starships are new. Players can invite their friends and take on multiplayer missions.

Artdink is working on A-Train: All Aboard Tourism Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, the company announced today. A release is planned for December 18, 2025 in Japan. It’s unclear if there’ll be a western launch, but the title did previously head overseas on Nintendo Switch.
A-Train: All Aboard Tourism Nintendo Switch 2 Edition features several improvements and additions. It comes with a new mode that allows you to use more rail cars, automobiles, and vehicle blueprints than usual, two new scenarios, mouse controls, and auto-save. There’ll also be improved graphics and an enhanced frame rate.
SEGA explains why Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds’ guest characters don’t speak

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is collaborating with some pretty big IPs for its guest characters, but one criticism fans have had is the lack of voices. Because of this, you won’t hear the likes of SpongeBob, Steve from Minecraft, and Pac-Man talking in the game. SEGA has now spoken about the decision.
Sonic Team head Takashi Iizuka spoke about this in an interview with Destructoid. It seems that if guest characters were to be voiced in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, it would have increased the “scop of review” for external companies.

Arco getting the physical treatment on Nintendo Switch

Arco has been on Nintendo Switch for a bit now as a digital download, but Lost in Cult has now announced plans for a physical release.
The Mesoamerican fantasy-RPG will be sold standalone, but there’ll also be a special “Editions” release. The latter, limited to 3,000 copies, includes an essay and developer interview booklet (40 pages) by Chris Tapsell, original outer slipcase artwork by Alariko, variant Nintendo Switch game case cover with reverse artwork by Alariko, poster artwork by Antoine Maillard, a color-thematic inner slipcase with release number code, fold-out unique artwork poster with checklist and artist description on the back, four art cards chosen from the developer with captions, and director’s authenticity card (individually numbered).

Original: It’s now been made official that Yooka-Replaylee is coming to Nintendo Switch 2.
Previously, when discussing the game, Playtonic simply said it was planned for Nintendo platforms. Nintendo Switch 2 seemed like a surefire bet at the time, but now we know that it’s happening.

IO Interactive has come out with the first notable update for Hitman World of Assassination on Nintendo Switch 2.
A number of notable fixes are included, such as loading auto save files resulting in the title crashing, brightness issues, performance issues around large mirrors, and quality-of-life issues. A notable addition is the “Frame Rate” option to help stabilize performance, locking the action at 30 FPS.
