NIS America is localizing Cladun X3 for English release in the west on Nintendo Switch, the publisher just announced. A release is planned for later in 2025.

Cladun X3 was first announced last September. Japan has had the game since February of this year.

Another free Nintendo Switch to Switch 2 upgrade is now confirmed, as Bandai Namco confirmed that this will be in place for Shadow Labyrinth.

The game, a new take on Pac-Man which was first see in the show Secret Level, will have a frame rate of 60 FPS. Resolution comes in at 4K when docked – it’s a native 1080p in handheld mode. To compare, Shadow Labyrinth is 1080p docked and 720p portable on the previous Nintendo Switch.

Quit Today

Today, publisher Justdan and developer Yohcan announced that they’re bringing Quit Today to Nintendo Switch. A release is planned for October 22, 2025.

Quit Today is a side-scrolling beat ’em up game. Everything takes place at a standard company where you’ll look to fight against your colleagues who claim that you’re going to resign.

Super Metroid Metroid Fusion icons

Starting today, Nintendo Switch Online members can redeem icons for Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion.

Both of these are “play to unlock” related. That means for Super Metroid, you’ll need to open the SNES app and boot up the game. The same goes for Metroid Fusion and the GBA app – which requires you to be at the Expansion Pack tier. Note that by starting up these games, you’ll earn 50 Platinum Points each (100 in total).

We recently heard that Amazon finally began selling Nintendo products in the United States again after a lengthy period in which the two sides weren’t working together. New details have now surfaced about what actually happened behind-the-scenes.

According to Bloomberg, the dispute between the companies stemmed from third-party sellers who were undercutting Nintendo’s games prices. This led to Nintendo Switch 2 not being available on Amazon when the system launched last month.

Nintendo Switch price increase Canada

Nintendo is raising the price of the original Switch in Canada, it’s been announced. This is “based on market conditions.”

The price increase will impact the Nintendo Switch – OLED Model, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, physical and digital Nintendo Switch games and Nintendo Switch accessories. Nintendo says that other products like amiibo and Switch Online memberships will also experience price changes.


Schildmaid MX physical

The shoot ’em up game Schildmaid MX was previously announced for Nintendo Switch, but now we have confirmation that a physical release is on the way. Copies will be sold through Play-Asia.

Schildmaid MX will be sold standalone, but it will also be offered via a limited edition. The latter includes the game card, soundtrack CD, Joy-Con sticker set, and numbered certificate in a collector’s box. Only 1,000 limited editions will be made.

The Plucky Squire has revealed a major “Challenge” update. It will soon be made available on Nintendo Switch, though there’s no exact date just yet.

The big thing here is, naturally, Challenge Mode. This is a difficulty boost with new enemies, harder minigames, harder bosses, and more. Players can also access Iron Squire mode featuring permadeath.

The latest UK software sales chart for the week ending June 28, 2025 is now available.

Mario Kart World is still doing well, but settles for second this week. It’s still leading the way as far as Nintendo Switch 2 games are concerned. We also see the physical release of The Thing: Remastered debut – 25 percent of sales came from the Nintendo Switch version.

Air Combat 22 Nintendo Switch 2 Switch

Today, Hamster announced that it will release Air Combat 22 on both Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch. The game launches on July 3, 2025.

Air Combat 22 will be available for the Arcade Archives 2 series on Nintendo Switch 2. It will be sold under the original Arcade Archives label on Nintendo Switch.
