Nintendo has released another Switch firmware update with version 20.0.1.
This follows version 20.0.0 which arrived earlier in the week. With version 20.0.1, Nintendo is looking to address issues involving error code 2206-1015 that was preventing some users from starting their devices. We reported on the situation here.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate reveals Nintendo Switch physical release

April 30: After its previous digital debut, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate is now getting a physical release on Nintendo Switch. The launch is planned for August 26, 2025.
Fans can pick up a deluxe edition, which includes the game, Casey Jones and Junkyard Jam DLC plus one additional future paid DLC, reversible cover art, and ten collector’s cards. Also planned is the Pipin’ Hot Collector’s Edition containing everything in the deluxe edition as well as an Ooze-colored role-playing game dice, NYC manhole cover dice box, a 50-page art box, a comic from IDW, and more.
Some Nintendo Switch users impacted by error code 2206-1015 following system update

A major version 20.0.0 update just recently went live for Nintendo Switch this week, and while it’s added a number of new features, some are impacted by the error code 2206-1015.
This appears to be a worldwide issue as we’ve seen reports in both the west and Japan. If you’ve come across the error code, you may not be able to start your system. There also appear to be variations of the error code such as 2206-1014.

January 28: Today, City Connection unveiled Steam-Heart’s and Advanced V.G. Saturn Tribute. The Nintendo Switch release is slated for May 29, 2025 in Japan.
You’re getting two different experiences here. Steam-Heart’s is a sci-fi shooter while Advanced Variable Geo is a fighter. There’s support for various features such as the ability to rewind gameplay.

Mado Monogatari: Fia and the Wondrous Academy gets release date

Idea Factory has just announced that its newest game, Mado Monogatari: Fia and the Wondrous Academy, will be released on Nintendo Switch and other consoles on July 29th.
In addition to the release date announcement, the developer also revealed that a physical edition, including a limited edition, will be available at IFI Online Stores. The limited edition includes the physical game, official art book (64 pages), official soundtrack (27 tracks), mini shikishi Board reversible cover sleeve and exclusive trading card.

April 28: Today, Eastasiasoft announced plans to launch Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 on Nintendo Switch in Asia with English support, and as part of that, the company is planning a physical release.
This follows the news that Idea Factory cancelled its plans for the Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth trilogy on Nintendo Switch in the west. It was said at the time that these titles “did not comply with Nintendo Guidelines.”
Hollow Knight: Silksong will get a playable version in Australia this September

After years of waiting and mystery, Hollow Knight: Silksong is finally getting a playable version. Today, Team Cherry announced that fans will finally get a chance to play the game, but only in Australia for now.
Starting September 18, the game will be available to play at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) as part of an exhibition called Game Worlds. The event will also include displays focused on the game’s design and artistic direction.

Today, CyberConnect2 unveiled special DLC for Fuga: Melodies of Steel 3 based on Solatorobo: Red the Hunter.
Fuga: Melodies of Steel 3 will be offering two pieces of DLC based on the Nintendo DS cult classic. The first one provides costumes for Malt, Mei, Hanna, Kyle, Boron, Socks, Chick, Hack, Sheena, Jin, Wappa, and Britz (can be used during intermission and expedition). There’s also a Sound Pack planned containing the songs CODA, Air In Airedale, Drop of Light, Shetland Mine, and Mau: The Bower.

Hibernian Workshop today fully unveiled a new Astral Ascent DLC / update known as “The Outer Reaches”. Nintendo Switch owners will have access soon.

Shovel Knight Dig confirms “Wicked Wishes” DLC release date

Support for Shovel Knight Dig is wrapping up with the game set to receive its final major update known as “Wicked Wishes”, and we now have a release date. It’s scheduled for May 15, 2025 on Nintendo Switch.
Wicked Wishes brings along its own bosses, quests, secrets, and more. The team also rebalanced the algorithm while implementing over over 100 bug fixes, tweaks, and localization improvements.
