Switch is mainline Pokemon’s most successful platform, highest sales

As we start to wind down on the Switch era, an interesting tidbit has come to light regarding the mainline Pokemon games. Nintendo’s latest console is where the franchise has achieved the most success and highest sales.
Pokemon games have managed to sell over 96 million copies on Switch. Pokemon Sword and Shield are the current best-sellers at 26.27 million. However, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are right behind at 24.92 million. And speaking of Scarlet and Violet, they’re the fastest selling entry in the series and the third best-selling title overall.
Cat Quest III trailer introduces characters

Cat Quest III received its latest trailer today highlighting some of the game’s characters. We’re able to see Mama Milka (Milky Barrel tavern owner), Kidd Cat (blacksmith), Captain Cappey (your guide), Captain Meowtallika (enemy), and Captain Takomeouki (enemy).

A massive update has come to the Switch version of The Last Faith in the form of version 1.5.2.
The patch includes a ton of improvements, adjustments, and fixes. Some of the highlights include frame rate enhancements, NPC markers on the map, a gameplay pause feature, rebalancing, and more.

New Splatoon 3 Splatfest asks about the end times

May 2: A new Splatfest is starting soon for Splatoon 3. This time, the game wants to know what you’d do in the face of the end of the world. Same Ol’, Bucket List, and Save the World are all options.
You’ll be able to give input when the Splatest is held on May 18. The event will conclude on May 20.

Beyblade X: XONE announced for Switch

Today, FuRyu unveiled announced Beyblade X: XONE, a “Beyblade action” title for Switch. A release is planned for November 14, 2024 in Japan.
Just like the top toy game, Beyblade X: XONE has players fighting and customizing Beyblades. A single-player mode is included with a new story and original characters, but online battles will now be supported. Stadiums contain the “X Lines” from the Beyblade X anime series, and are the battlefield of action-oriented Beyblade battles that utilize the “X Dash” mechanic and a game-original “Active Gauge.”

Nintendo Switch Online adds Super Mario Land, Alleyway, Baseball

Three new Game Boy games have just been made available to Nintendo Switch Online users, these being Alleyway, Baseball, and the classic Super Mario Land.
These games are releasing to celebrate the Game Boy’s 35th anniversary, as they all released the same year as the system back in 1989.

DreadOut: Remastered Collection announced for Switch

Soft Source Publishing, along with Digital Happiness, have announced that DreadOut: Remastered Collection is heading to Switch. There’s no word on a release date, but it’ll be out “in the near future.”
DreadOut: Remastered Collection includes DreadOut and DreadOut: Keepers of the Dark. These horror games first released in 2014 and 2016 respectively.

Frog Detective Switch physical release revealed

Frog Detective: The Entire Mystery has been revealed for physical release on Switch. This one comes from Fangamer.
Each copy of the game includes the title on a cartridge, a digital download code for a copy of the complete soundtrack, reversible cover art, and business cards from Frog Detective and Lobster Cop. A Deluxe Edition is also planned which adds f four-piece acrylic mini-standee measuring about 2.3 inches tall and 3.45 inches wide when assembled, two kiss-cut sticker sheets, and a set of three postcard-style art cards wishing you the best from Haunted Island, Warlock Woods, and Cowboy County.
Needy Streamer Overload to receive physical edition

Serenity Forge have announced that they will be distributing a physical edition of point-and-click adventure game Needy Streamer Overload for Switch in North America, with pre-orders open now. A collector’s edition and a physical premium edition will be made available, as well as a vinyl of the soundtrack.
